Clearly some of the most iconic songs of all time are the Beatles, whose songs have been performed by many well know orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and numerous other Orchestras
Of course Bob Dylan has performed with numerous orchestras as well

My opinion is the Beatles will hold up as long as the world does.
The same question about Dylan is more complicated because he's an acquired taste to begin with.

The Beatle’s enduring legacy is undeniable and the same goes for Dylan.

Yaah, recall one day in high school in my friend Mark's living room, hearing "You walk into the room/and ask "is this where it is...and you know somethin's happenin'/ but you don't know what it is/do you Mr. Jones."
What the f******????
"I Wanna Hold Your Hand" rocked the world...

I think it depends on your generation. For me, I like a selection of their stuff, but not with the semi-religious fervour of someone forty years older than me. I think for genZ their hold is quite weak.

Yes Francesca, there are many way to look at these music matters.
"They've been going in and out of style/tho they're guaranteed to raise a smile."
Sgt. Pepper
Today, music is prob'ly 1000 X more democratized, vast masses can afford a home studio and give music a go. Back then in the 60s, the oxygen was sucked up by much fewer performers.

I get what Francesca is saying, although in time our minds change and tastes do too!, so you never know what the future holds and how life can make us appreciate other types of culture, music and ideas!!!.
Cheers to all you beautiful people

Well, happened to view a part of a bio about Taylor Swift.
By age 11, she was down in Nashville, knocking on music producer doors.
At age 14, a co. signed her to an "artist development" deal.
She modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch, and tried her hand at song-writing,
Have the feeling they "bought" her persona, upcoming pretty girl, hardworking, who would take direction/instructions...before she wrote a song...
