Medical Marijuana for or against?
I've had many discussions about this and would like to discuss.
I take it legally and think it is far better than getting hooked on hard pain drugs.
Do you think MM should be federally legal?

Pot in general should be legal nationwide like it is in Colorado.

Absolutely yes! I use it for a variety of ailments and I am so glad that it is legal for me here in Cali. It is the only drug I have that doesn't have a bunch of harmful side effects and it is cheap because I grow my own. My doctors will give me as much Oxy and Vicodin as I request but I don't even ask for that stuff anymore. Too many side effects. Doesn't really help with my pain anyway. But I vape twice a day and that keeps my pain under control. It also helps me with my PTSD as it keeps me tranquil and at peace. Helps to keep the flash backs about the war away. I agree, it should be legal for adults nation wide.

Cool Scott. I wish they would make it legal too.
Yeah MS? A real bummer Pop and I can relate. Is MM legal in your state?
Stoneman, sounds like you had a rough early life, glad ya made it back.
I use it legally for Chronic Pancreatitis and Chronic Lyme Disease. Both very painful. I'm using CBD Oil now, technically it's FECO. The oil works great. I also smoke it but only with a Vape, never in a joint or pipe.

There is no reason at all for it to be illegal when all the pharmaceutical drugs have a litany of side effects - some even say "may cause death" and don't necessarily even cure what they're prescribed to cure. Good old weed grows from good old Mother Earth with no effects except pain relief - mental as well as physical. I would be the queen of anxiety without getting high - weed and coffee/weed and wine and no problem.
I have a friend who's little grandson - only about 2 yrs old is autistic. He has really bad seizures and the medicine that was prescribed to stop them just about cripples him with pain and side effects. The medical marijuana is completely gentle for him and keeps him from having the seizures.
What is it, just another way the big money (Pharma) gets to control everything in the name of the almighty dollar .....hmmmm

There are no plants which should become illegal except those alien to a particular environment which would cause great harm... after all... much if not most of mankinds endeavors do such things and are also "personally" harmful to us as well... all the while being themselves "legal". -M-

It is still prohibited here in Scotland although it is a misdemeanor in the courts. For small amount. Scotland has become a police state. We have a unified police force that is armed to the teeth. The isms are back. My Great Auntie Nettie warned me about this. They would be back they wait until all the old warriors die and then reset. The resistance is much greater now than it was in the past they are having trouble people listening to there rhetoric. Yeah, someone gave me mine as a gift a few birthdays ago. Very expensive and it only has a 3 year warranty. My Pax has a 10 year full warranty. But the Volcano works really well and is perfect for a dinner party. I stay away from the vapor pens. They never seem to last very long no matter what brand you get. I have had about 10 of them (all gifts) and they usually crap out within 6 months. I have had the Vapir 2 for about 5 years now and it still works perfectly. Highly recommend that one. Very well made!

It's a good few years since I smoked any weed but I totally disagree with it being illegal for many reasons not just the obvious medical ones.
Personal usage is pretty much overlooked here in Bristol but not if they think you're supplying it can still mean prison here.

Pot indeed should be legal Nationwide. For adult recreational use, as it is in Colorado.
Suddenly I want to live in Colorado. No idea why.
Oh of course I know why.
Stores full of all kinds of different pot? Ooey Gooey Sensimeila
(been so long I forgot how to spell it) that I've not had in decades...
Oh Christ, let me just pull a lawnchair up and die there. x
At a certain point, everyone in the country
realized it was moronic for Alcohol to be illegal.
We're about due for marijuana to go that route.
Plus the U.S. Government can make a TON of money,
so they're probably more eager for it than we are. Or I am,
I'll speak for myself.
Yes, Marijuana is Made By The Famous God Almighty
over at God-Com---we made the World, so you don't have to, idiots.
It's better than prescription drugs. Oh it is. A lot better.
Side effects with those include,
'may grow an extra head named Gertrude that bites your face off'....
You don't get that crap with pot.
Side effects include you'll eat a whole cake. And that's just piggy,
haven't you got more self-control than that?
Really?
A whole bloody cake!
That's disgusting.

Well yes, I suppose I see your point.
Easy to fall into the Infinity Tunnel eating something like that.
You become a Famous Explorer....
"I'm here, in the red velvet cake universe, day's going about as can be expected..."
Unfortunately after you've eaten all that,
you discover there's half a pizza.
Does that stop you?
Not if there's pepperoni on it.
But I do have self control.
There was a cheeseburger in there, that I didn't even look at.
Hmmm.

Well of course I see that. Hello.
You might recall, I'm the one who just told you, it's quite a noble thing
indeed to have created and be presenting this platform by which
so many talented artists can shine and be brilliant.
I am a bit of an Empath.
As such, I am telling you, Scott Dear,
I Sense Conflict Within You.
Part of you wants to go out and play.
Part of you says "NO! Do your Homework!"
Perhaps I haven't found the right way to say it.
Maybe what I should be saying to you is,
'Dare to Create since we know you want to, and also,
dare to be less self-conscious about the whole thing if you can'....
How do you do that? Try being conscious of everyone else.
Not as a statistic, or a 'member' or an 'A&R man' or whatnot,
but, you know, perceiving the human viewpoint,
from various perspectives.... including your own, great place to start.
Look, I'll let you in on the Big Secret.
It's not just you.
We all just go along and do that thing we do the best we can,
regardless of the bloody shape we're in.
You are Changing The World, Tangibly. And BRAVO To You, Man!
Because yeah, IMP is you and you are IMP.
But having built the playground, well don't you wanna
really play in it too? I think you do.
But I also think, pardon me for pointing it out, you remain in your 'comfort zone'.
And you want the big Grand Poobah Secret, My Son,
it's get the hell out of your comfort zone....
turn on a tape recorder and bleed like the bloody rest of us, Mate.
~L, over and out
I just realized we're in a pot post,
and I'm talking not about pot anymore,
but I'm not even going back to that other post with that shrink nonsense.
That was so totally you, don't tell me otherwise.
You will, you will tell me otherwise, and I will still know it not to be true.
You want "Good Enough"?
Good Enough!
Thanks for making the playground Mr Scott.
We're all just winging it.
For God's Sake Man---she says neatly returning to the post's original topic---
smoke a nice juicy fatta fatta boombatta, and
follow the music in your heart till it's out here and on tape.
So to speak.
Nobody uses bloody tape anymore.
You haven't smoked in about ten years or more, huh.
You're afraid you won't be able to find the floor?
You can't miss it. It's right where you are at all times.
Breathe in breathe out, look up look down.
You're in the Here and Now. Above you is Limitless Possibility.
Below you is Floor, or Ground.
Thank you for making the playground.
You're allowed to play in it too you know.
And I'm only trying to encourage you to do so,
but my empathic self is sensing this annoys you,
so I'm shuttin' up now....
See ya, Everybody....
God Bless, Much Love, ~American Lesley Jane, Big Fat Rock N Roll Moo Cow.

oh, is that it. you're a responsible adult. I've heard about you guys.
never was very good at bein' one.
I'm 55 going on 19.
okay, well I think about it, and yeah, I suppose Presenting
The Future Of Rock N Roll is in fact being The Future Of Rock N Roll.
You do like your guises, though, first it's your this cat,
then in you come back into the room, "I'm a different cat" but it's still you,
which is a bit odd, somewhat disconcerting but I suppose one gets used to it.
I actually won't even DO a BEATLESEX post,
because already people are getting to know me as American Lesley Jane,
so the only time you will see a BEATLESEX post,
is if one or both of the guys I routinely channel, Mssrs John Lennon
and George Harrison, have something that they particularly wish to say.
Oh....
I'm about to hit the studio now... in a bit of a wild flurry as she gets, Folks,
but Thank you, you are a Sweetheart,
and I feel right flattered, with you referring to me as a Tempest.
May as well work as a temp, nothing is permanent.
Although I just realized, you could argue you weren't talking about me,
since technically it's a typo, you don't say who or what the tempest is....
Very clever you are. I learn from observing you. I stand in one place more tho.
Oh, and being in the eye of the storm....
You gotta be where you are, and you gotta be who you are.
Some are this, some are that, some say I'm a different cat.
Fame, is the muthafucka I've been paddling towards in my humble
little boat "Fat Chance" for literally all of my life.
And John Lennon swears I'll fucking hate it when I get there.
He's probably right too. So I'll hate it all the way to the bank
and a great dinner and a fantastic cocaine overdose.
Nice work if you can get it.
Whoo HOO.
Cocaine.
I can't afford it.
But, oh, I dream of the day...
Yeah that's a narcotic, should still be legal for adults,
we're big boys and girls now, thank you.
Cocaine.
It's not just for the Rich and the Powerful Anymore.
I want some too, dammit. Then I do. Then I do.
A new man and then she wants some.
Ohhhhh.
Well let me shut on up then.
Yeah, I'll have to drink a lot too... overdosing for me won't be easy.
Damn near impossible. Oh I could tell you stories... true ones,
nobody'd believe it. Don't ask.
Oh and look, it's Scott as a different cat...
Let's see to this then...

Okay, now you're intrigued me, so I will at some point,
I'm in the studio now, so it won't be now, but quite possibly and very probably by tomorrow morning have a listen to Zeeza's work... I assume that's a prerequisite,
that you have some songs here in the Land Of IMP....
before you get asked to do an interview...
She's certainly very pretty...
Immediately loveable.
Like me only she's nicer to look at.
Anyway, okay, I get why you're not more predisposed to
making records... you really are a different cat.

I had to look up 'inane' just to be sure how you meant it.
Okay, point taken.
It's like pointing out how Washington DC

Make a Great Big Machine Oil Stink, and Go Absolutely Nowhere.
In other words, everybody already knows it, no one gives a shit.
Sure enough.
Yeah, I'm not about to forget a face like that, if she sounds as lovely
as she looks, it'll be to the cold showers for sure.
Sure I'm a Tempest, but who doesn't love a nice Tea Pot now and then.
Oh I brought it all back to pot again. Very clever, me.
Okay, Everybody Go Be Creative.
