Terrific article on (our own) Eric Lichter!
Eric Lichter
Too bad they didn't chose to post the picture too, cause it's a great pic!
Eric Lichter: The Reality of Reel to Reel
It reads (in part, don't want to infringe on copyrights):
You never know where you'll be when you get some life-changing advice. Eric Lichter was in an elevator. He was on a break, going to get a sandwich, when he noticed famed rocker Elvis Costello riding in the elevator with him. Lichter confessed to Costello that he hated his desk job in the music business and wanted to be a performer.
"I told him that I felt like I was giving up part of myself," Lichter recalls.
Costello's advice was direct.
"He told me that I had to quit, that I had a conflict of interest," Lichter says.
Always good to see a Chester boy do good....

Leon,
Read the article, write-up of Erich and his studio. Pity...if he'd been there 50yrs ago, we could have ridden our bikes to record. As I recall he's down on Ferry rd.
Certainly, I hope for much success for Erich.
Maybe we should visit them soon (NEXT TRIP NORTH). It occurred to me that if we rounded up all the bands and singers from Chester we could finally Do the tribute tune "We Are The Boys Of Chester". Guess I'll have to go to NYC and huntdown Randy Burns, The unacknowledged but deserving of the title "The Father of Popular Music in Chester".
