The Isley Brothers
Just read that Rudolph Isley died.
Here are three classics that show the diversity and versatility of that group through the decades:
Shout:
It's Your Thing:
Who's That Lady:
RIP.

So good, thanks Glen... it seems ironic that 2 of the brothers (at least) died of heart problems when probably their most famous song (that I know) was This old heart of mine while they were part of the Motown label. There have been so many famous Brother Bands over the years but The Isley Brothers were one of the first.

Theoughout my life the Isley Brothers music seems to have always been playing somewhere in the background. An amazing group with an amazing catalogue!

Wow, what timing - I just listened to an entire Isley Brothers album last night. They rocked and were soulful at the same time. They had some sexy songs, too. And "Shout" is one of the most entertaining songs of all time - it takes you on a ride. The Blues Brothers kind of ruined it though, but the original gets way down in your soul.
