If the USA was a dictatorship during the Bush Administration then it would still be today. Ever hear of FDR or Abraham Lincoln??? Compare their govts. during a time of war to the Bush terms and there is no comparison. George Bush was dealt a bad hand with the 9-11 attacks and conducted himself no differently than any other president would have and in the case of FDR & Lincoln, in fact did.
Bush made mistakes, there's no doubt about it but he did his duty to protect this country from further attacks to the best of his ability. And I'm not sure the present administration's decision to throw former President Bush to the wolves was very wise. Because if the mainstream press decides to ever examine some of their past conduct with the same scrutiny as they seem to intend to do to the former Bush Administration, their own ability to effectively govern could be severely compromised, something the country does not need to happen at the present time.

No it's not a dictatorship anymore because there's a new Justice Dept and a new White House legal council. What basically happened is this, Bush wanted the authority to circumvent even the first amendment and that corrupt John Yoo wrote him up misguided legal justification.
We are not a dictatorship, this was so wrong it defies honor, totally. This can never be allowed to happen again and this is why we must investigate and punish accordingly.
BTW you're totally offbase, Obama doesn't even seem to want to pursue going after Bush, it's members of Congress.
