Home again!!
Well finally home again, for a while at least this time. We had a fantastic trip. After the two week stop in Dallas, where I got to cook pretty much every night which I loved (I hope they did!!), we boarded the ship in San Pedro, but only after I walked to town and bought some scotch for the long journey ahead...
We traveled to Cabo San Lucas and then to the west coast of South America and stopped at Guayaquil, Callao, Valparaiso, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas and Ushuaia after cruising around Cape Horn. We then made our first attempt at Antarctica, but we encountered 70 to 80 knot winds and a wave smashed the windows in three staterooms on deck 5 and I woke up next morning to find that we were heading back to Ushuaia for repairs...(Yes I did sleep through it all!!) We sailed again for Antarctica that evening and arrived on a perfect day (January 1st) and cruised around for a couple of days..pure magic!!
After Antarctica we moved to the East coast of South America and stopped atPuerto Madryn, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Rio, SalvadorFortaleza, Bridgetown, Grand Turk and finally Miami.
I managed to write some music on the ship, so I will record it and put it up in due course!!
It was a fantastic trip, but it is great to be back home!!
