A while back I was visiting some small town museum where one of the exhibits included a collection of early 20th century sheet music. Many pages had a little note scrawled in the corner, notations like “dance music 1, dance music 2” or “mothers favorites” etc. I realized this was like a playlist, this person could grab the tunes, take the sheets with them and anyone that could play could recreate the kick ass time they had at John’s birthday party or what not. Those inscriptions helped me understand the importance of written music as a method of transmitting or transporting information and helped to humanize long forgotten 20th Century Sheet Music Man.

I have warm memories of my piano teacher giving me sheet music to learn special pieces on, especially pop songs I loved like Elton's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me, Chicago's Saturday In The Park, and one time she brought me McCartney's My Love just as it was about to become #1 on Billboard.

Thanks Paul for the add to your station! The Jazz Club! and for the nice comment! and yeah, its a song with flair for sure, I may do a revamp with vocals, I am getting production done with various instruments and percussion in a new version maybe by thanksgiving or Xmas
