She Gave Me Pictures
Last weekend I wrote this song in open D. This is a rough out I played over top of me playing the acoustic while singing, but that first track has a few timing deals, so this is a cool rough but I can't use it as the basis of a finished version.
Thought I'd put it up, see if people like it.

You know that I'm a fanboy, Bob. And, while I can hear the timing issues that you're talking about, as far as I'm concerned, this is totally releasable. (But then, I've never been the perfectionist that you are. I think I need you to produce me.)
It's wonderful. Very Cat Stevens/CSN.

Thanks Todd. The timing is too slow, gets slower, and is erratic, so I will redo it soon. But for now I remixed it more sparsely to save some of the goods for later in the song. I like it better. That is what the same link has up on it now. Thanks for the station add, and also thanks to Bry for his.

Ditto what's been said. (I love the 4/4 kick drum throughout. I hope that stays in the finished product)

THanks for listening. I'm a little late in response, but I 've been off in noninternet land for several days.
You know I always have this issue of shooting out a rough draft that I like but is flawed and then trying to redo it all right, and of course it often feels like the doors to the castle have been closed.
I believe we can overcome that, but it is not the same headrush experience as doing that first demo always is. THat's why I try to do those first run demos well enough that they might be the finished versions, but I didn't pull it off here with the timing.
