Terrific song Bob, such a moving, inspiring and hopeful song. added to a couple of stations , the eYe and Music is Truth. It is a masterpiece of songcrafting.

Marvelously refreshing, soulfully delivered! Nothing but glowing remarks about this one my friend. I would love to hear someone like Stevie Wonder do it. Imagine the spin he could put on it! Far above anything I ever heard from you brother! This Rocks! Wish I had wrote it! Much Respect! Stoneman

Richard: I’m so glad someone tried the album as a whole. I appreciate you giving it a spin and your comments. That is, of course, how wish everyone would hear it. Thanks.
Also, thanks for the comments on “Under the Sun,” Stoneman. The main part of that song came as a dream about fifteen years ago, and I’ve tried recording in various keys with various arrangements, possibly forty or fifty times over the years. This recording here had quite a bit more on it, but , like the whole album, a lot of brutal cutback happened at mixdown.

One of several attributes we share is the determination to put in the work necessary to get optimal results. It takes a lot of patience and effort, especially when making a whole CD.
I enjoyed following the threads that were woven throughout your CD. The attention to detail, the soulful vocals and colorful storytelling were all on full display. At the moment I’m somewhat perplexed about the whole debate over “CD vs individual singles”. I favor making CD’s in the traditional way that you did but the so called “marketplace” seems to favor concentrating on putting out single songs since many listeners/buyers prefer buying singles and essentially assembling their own combination
of songs or what some call a “customized CD”. The problem with this trend is that concept albums like Sgt Pepper and Tommy will not be created.
