Here is what our band has been up to..
Our drummer/producer Dave is in great demand so we just move deliberately, doing our thing. Jonny and I worked on more originals. We have 3 of those ready plus another that's a Woody Guthrie oldie. Now we're working on one of my oldest songs with updated lyrics about a party I went to in 79 or 80. We're bringing in a guest artist, a prominent one in fact, to play a fairly uncommon hippie instrument. I feel my peers are the Beatles, Stones and Byrds. That's just the state of mind I use to elevate my own efforts.

OK...
"I feel my peers are the Beatles, Stones and Byrds."
---
What is the meaning of peers?
: one that is of equal standing with another : equal. The band mates welcomed the new member as a peer. especially : one belonging to the same societal group especially based on age, grade, or status.

As I said, it's just the state of mind I utilize as an impetus to working on music.

Fair enough.
Funny, I met a guy who grew up during the early 60's music scene in London and he claimed the Beatles were not among the 10 top bands at that time, Then Brian Epstein and George Martin came along and the rest happened.
I dunno, I never compared what Sterling30 did with anyone. A couple of great singers, a world class guitar player and an average songwriter that a few people really liked. If only the hunger was there we might have made a few records and done a few tours..
Oh well..
