A song 45 years old about to see the light of day. …
Hey Friends,
I have been writing songs since the tender age of 15. I did not have the means to record , so there is one song that stuck with me since around the time written in 1981-1982. It’s a Guitar, Bass, and drums song in the Pop Rock genre called “Give Me All Your Love”. I decided to revisit it and wriite a brand new bridge ( Middle Eight) to complement the song. I just need to lay down Bass and a Lead guitar track… and after Mixing/Mastering it will be released after approx 44 years swimming somewhere in my brain as the melody and chords stuck, …which I am hoping is the sign of a good tune. I am looking to world premier it here this coming weekend, hope you will give it a listen Regards, Jeff “Give me All Your Love” Words and music Jeff Allen Myers copyright 1981/2026

Ok ….. this weekend … will be the World Premiere of “Give Me All Your Love” Exclusive to indie music people . Buried in the subconscious for close to 45 years, . Written by a kid 15 years old, just trying to find his way. Inspired by a girl in his class, a crush, unrequited. The verse and melody have not been changed, a middle 8 was added to round it out. Inspired by the music of the age. The Cars, The Knack, and even the Go Gos. And of course a touch of the Beatles, who at this time had broken up only eleven years earlier. Now 11 years does not seem very long, but to a 15 year old kid it’s literally a lifetime. Will be dropping sometime Saturday here. In a few weeks it will become part of a “Double A Side” single on Spotify where it will be combined with “ I Can Be Your Stone” previously released here on IMP, and still high in the Rock chart. Thank you friends.. look for it this Saturday April 4, 2026! Regards, Jeff

Thank you Rich! IMP (Previously known as IAC) Has been a special place for me going way back to 2008. I am a little older now and realize I need to get the fully written songs out of my head and recorded for prosperity. I don't know how long I have left to be able to play music, and although I can still hit all the high notes required, I know Time will steal that. So, I need to get productive! This will require I stop worrying about the recordings sounding great and just get them down. My attention to detail will still be there, but I need to make decisions quicker and print them, most times I go back to the original take, or it really does not affect the overall song quality. If I happen to hit on something special, I can always record it again. My goal some day is to go into a real studio with a respected producer in my Genre and cut a real Album. It may remain a dream, but a good one. If the songs only remain in their initial state, I am ok with that too as the technology is great. What I can do at home in my Studio is more than I ever thought possible when I started on a Fostex X-15 4 Track in 1985. It was $500! A huge amount at the time. Its $1500.00 in todays dollars! I have had it in my blood since that time. Thanks all for your support, Very much appreciated. jEFF

Hello Jeff. Waiting on that song. But did you know that the 1st song on your page, "A Little Bit More(Than Christmas Cheer)" is "Missing". You'll probably need to upload that mp3 again too. -M-

Hey thanks, weird how that happened it worked when originally uploaded.
So the new song is tracked, goal was to mix it then get it released today. Took a little longer laying down the final parts, now I am tired and my ears are fried.need to rest and come back with fresh ears in the morning to mix it. It will be released tomorrow. Regards, Jeff

Ok… it’s done, but can’t trust my ears as they are extremely fatigued. Mixing is tough, especially when you start second guessing while adding automation. One minute it sounds good, the next.. not so much. I’ll rest my ears and come back tomorrow and finish. There is a point of diminishing returns.it’s waited 45 years, it can wait just a little bit longer. Hope everyone had a great Easter werkend. Jeff

Those "revisit" songs are often a lot ot of fun. I have a closet full of them on Cassettes. I did the original demo 'for those songs on a Tascam 244 way back in the 80's. My problem with revisits is that often so much time has gone by that I have completely forgotten the original vibe that got me going. Sometimes it is hard to recapture that special moment when it first came to me. So, I wish you great fortune in recapturing a part of your life that lay waiting for you to come back to it. can't wait to hear it. Respect, Stoneman

Thanks Stoneman..I think I captured the sprit of the song and more. I married my youth and exuberance with a bit more sophistication. I added a brand new bridge/middle eight that goes to another key, and then modulates back to the original key …………Today is the day .. after some technical difficulties it’s finished and mixed. …just need to export, test, than upload here ….45 years in the making.

Thanks to all that listened, it really means a lot to me. That’s all I care about at this stage of my life… I just want to share and get my music heard. Although I am not always active here, I have maintained a steady presence here since 2006 and I consider IMP my main hub and I will always post my music here first. I am looking to record and release 30 songs over the next few years. I am getting older, and my health is not great. I need to get them recorded before my voice further weakens with age. Again thanks to all who have supported me over the years and for listening and adding songs to your stations. That always brightens my day when I see that! Special thanks to Bryon … you have been incredible Sir!! Know I appreciate all you do. Also, Scott for being such a presence here along with many Here I have seen for over 20 years. God Bless you all, I wish you success in life and all your endeavors. With Respect, Jeff

Hey y’all.. ?? Finally listened in the car, and the car check is stil a major way to check a mix.. mainly the mods and low end. What I heard was the bass drum was a bit too loud, and my bass was buried a bit. I think it’s a pretty good bass line, so now you can hear it clearly. I am not a professional recording and mix engineer, but I do get decent results by using reference tracks with good near field monitors. If you have not heard this song yet, or if you have previously, it’s worth another listen to hear the bass line. Thanks !????????
