What is the largest crowd / venue you performed at
I was in a competition in the 70s i think 1976 where I won first place for my original song and a cash prize, there was around 3000 people in Penticton BC, lots of angst after the show which I heard about afterwards and bitter people in the competition and family and friends complained that I was too professional! wow human nature is nasty
Other performances was a duo I was in with a guitarist we performed a number of songs in the 90s My buddy programmed the Yamaha RX 7 and we did a bunch of rock tunes for an afternoon fun day in Victoria BC at a convention. maybe 500 souls there in the old Victoria Memorial arena which was demolished in 2003 (maybe our sound contributed to its demise) lol
Lots of solo performances of my own music and church type special music that ranged in size from a few hundred to a couple thousand people
Other events I did in bands over the years were nominal size maybe a 100 to a few hundred
Most of the other places were weddings, political celebrations, restaurants even played at celebration of life events where I provided background music with maybe 50-10- 200 people
some here I a sure have played in front of larger crowds, I always reveled in the spotlight to show off my chops, youth ,being young, enjoying the moment ,even as I matured and got into my 40s and 60s it was enjoyable to provide music for others entertainment, the piano though was always my best friend ,
I rather like the real acoustic sound over the digital or electric or other keyboards, the acoustic piano has a magical essence to it
now we have 1000s who can listen to our recordings without our being anywhere!!
okay
storytime bring it on folks
