Music Is So New To Me
Well not really because I am old and have been doing this music shit for many decades. But it is new to me becaue i am renewing myself daily. Having been through a traumatic brain injury recently, I am relearning so many things that I lost. That has been a frustrating yet fascinating thing to do. Teaching myself how to play, sing and write music again has been exhilarating. Rediscovering my passion for music has been awesome. Things are coming back very fast and even my doctors are impressed with my recovery. I have been listening to a lot of my old music and it is weird that my old stuff is new to me now. My productipon work has been very slow though. Songs do not come to me as fast now because I have to figure out how to play them on instruments that also seem very new to me. The only thing old these days is me and I am good with that. It beats the alternative called death. I think. Well nobody really knows for sure but i think it is better than death. I am not in a hurry to find the answer to that. But the world is new to me. The colors and sounds of nature are all new to me now. Love is new to me and so is the spirit of life. It is all so bright and entertaining. Has it always been that way? I don;t know as i cannot fully remember. But I like things being new. It is refreshing and fun to explore the world and music.
Memory is such a weird thing. I can remember so much of my life. The tours, the studios and many of the places. But most of the songs are new to me. WTF? I can remember Vietnam and all the drugs I use to take but I can't remember my music. Its all so very new to me. WTF?

Thanks so much man. I hope you know that the respect is mutual. Because it truly is. My brain is so scrambled up that I thought I wrote this on the pipeline not here. Hope no one gets mad at me about that. Just trying to stay relevant.
