sort of a unique song. What genre do you think it is?

First off, i liked it right away, i love the "easy listening" mellow quality, you nailed it on this one. The singing is relaxed and fits very well on this vocal style. I enjoyed the intro especially with the bell like keyboard tones going on. The song has great elements to it, rich soundscaping, a fine canvas of instrumentation and texturing with tasty touches on the guitar work . The more then just words certainly captured my attention. Excellent percussion and bass line holding it all together. Quite enjoyable.
good work!!

Really lush production with a big stereo soundscape. Nice work on the bass and keyboards; drums well played and produced. The lyrics are an example of solid songwriting craft and attention to detail. I thought that the vocal style went well with this type of song. Easy Listening / Lounge maybe. But so much more.
I should note I thought you produced an interesting and visually pleasing video for this song too. Slick!

Has sort of a nostalgic flair to it. Meaning, it reminds me of something else but I don't know exactly what that something else is. I think the music parts are done to perfection. Awesome keys, strings, Bass etc. Really good song form. This would work well for a movie theme song or something like that. I loved everything about it except for the vocals. I only liked the vocals as they definitely had the kind of feel that this song needed but if I were you I would do a second pass on them as they seem a bit rushed in some areas. It was almost like you were trying to fit too many words into certain parts. But overall? This is a really nice song with lots of great things happening.
Much Respect,

Thanks folks.
interesting story about this song. Part of what gives it its feel is a special effect on rhythm guitar which I think is called 5ths. I had recorded a demo of it years ago, sometime in the 90s, but in order to get the song back rolling again, I had to buy the box that had this effect which I sold years ago, called an ART SGE. First time I ever bought something specifically for one song but it was worth it imo.

The effect 5ths is not new or unique it is built into some current stomp box multi effects
I will agree its a great effect on guitar or even bass. After hearing you used the effect I will have to go and listen since I think this effect is one that is often passed by but I like it.
