New Song, "Sunrunner"
Here's a new track I just recently uploaded to IMP. It's the only complete song I have done on electric guitar at this point, and is easily the most hard rock oriented song I've done. That, combined with a longer/more complex structure, make it a bit of an experimental track for me. I'd appreciate any thoughts on it you all might have.

Like most of my stuff on here, this one was recorded/produced at home. The vocals and guitar parts are all recorded traditionally, while the drums and bass were put together in Stagelight, my current editing program.

I like the idea... needs some shoe shining but the idea works.The lyrics definitely fit the musics dark and brooding feel...
Reminded me of Alice in Chains... just stay away from the heroine!

I agree with JeffH Your tracks have much potential and I admire your willingness to experiment and take chances. I've enjoyed watching your evolution and look forward to more of what you are capable of. You're on to something. Keep your eye on the ball
and you'll soon reap the rewards. Atmospheric work like this takes time to develop
but you're on the right road for sure.

Thanks, Jeff! That's definitely one of the kinds of comparisons I was going for, sound-wise. Not to worry, no drugs were involved. I agree about it needing some polishing-up though. Honestly, I've had a tough time mixing/producing this one, more than most of my stuff.

Thanks, Rich! Granted, most of the songs I've shared on IMP have actually been recorded for a while, though I'm often going back and working on production stuff. Still, I do feel like I've grown a fair amount with my singing/songwriting in the last few years.
