The band was formed in April 2003 by Max Scherbi. After recording a 4-track EP in June 2005 in Liverpool, with Jay Irving on drums, Max moved back to Italy where he resumed the project. Various musicians have been part of The Rideouts over the years.
The current line-up is:

Matteo Zecca: guitars
Franco Ghietti: bass
Andrea D’Ostuni: drums
