hello!
My name is Sylvester Schlegel. I´m 29 years old and I´ve been making music since I was a kid. When I perform my songs together with my friends we call ourselves ""THE GUILD"".

We formed 2,5 years ago when my mom had her 50th birthday party. I wanted to sing to her and asked a couple friends if they would back me up. We had a great time and people seemed to like it so we kept on going. I always wanted a band of my own,s so this was perfect. We refined the sound and made some recordings together with producer Mattias Glavå (Håkan Hellström, Broder Daniel, Dungen). On this page we want to share some of them with you.

The Guild is a way of expressing what is important to me and what is going on in my mind. It is at the same time a chance to celebrate our all-time heroes. Among them are: Bob Dylan and the Band, Van Morrison, Grateful Dead, Dr. John, Fleetwood Mac, Love, Loudon Wanwright 111, Lou Reed, Beach Boys, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Sly Stone and many others.

It is also a space for improvisation, we like to keep arrangements quite open and we rarely do the same thing twice.

The members of The Guild change from time to time, since most of the members are involved in other projects. This may seem like a problem but we think it´s a great way to keep the sound accurate and full of life.
