Welcome friend to our little artist page. Feel free to listen to our songs but please be aware some of these are early recordings (warts and all) that we will be updating over the coming months. So if you like any of these songs and the recording is a bit sub standard check back in from time to time and you may find a newer version.
And now the No Rhythm story, fingers crossed it has a fairy tale ending.
Once upon a time in a land far far down under there lived a man named Mark. Now Mark was a hard worker and toiled away at manual labor for many years. Mark loved music but didn't have a musical bone in his body. Until one day, on the job straightening widgets, he met a very wise man. Who we'll call Bob because his name was Mark too and it would start to get really confusing, what with all these Marks running around, there's far too many of them in the world today and most of them are trouble makers. Anyway I digress, Bob was a guitarist and just happened to have a spare electric guitar and amp for sale. Mark being cashed up after all the widget straightening, agreed to buy the instrument on the condition he get a few free lessons thrown in.
Now Bob was a competent guitarist and introduced Mark to the wonder of chords. Three to be precise E A D. Oh the wonder of it, so many songs seemed to just use these three chords. Mark suddenly found himself playing guitar and enjoying it. But he had a problem. He needed Bob to come around and tune it. I hear you ask "Why didn't Mark just tune it himself?" Yes a valid question indeed. The reason was that Bob tuned by ear, and Mark appeared to be tone deaf. And so the cycle went Bob tuning the guitar, Mark playing for a day or two, pleased with the music he was making and then the instrument would go out of tune and the wait for Bob to return would begin. This went on for a few months until sadly, Bob left for America never to be heard from again.
Time passes, the out of tune guitar becomes an ornament in Marks games room collecting dust, until one day Mark meets a man named John. Now John had experimented with far too many drugs and was a little worn out, but he could play the guitar like a demon. After a 20 minute rendition of the Hendrix classic "Voodoo Chile" which held everybody in the place captivated, he imparted upon Mark some knowledge which would change his life forever, "You know they make electronic tuners don't ya".
Well Mark was down at the local music shop within the hour, and for a mere $40 he picked himself up one of these magic tuners. Over the next few months Mark began playing the guitar more and more, until his rented house suddenly became a rehearsal studio, with all manner of characters lounging around the place day and night. It wasn't long before a few of these blow ins became friends, and the start of a makeshift band emerged. Marks brother Russell started playing drums, around the same time the real estate value plummetted within a four mile radius.
The party raged day and night for about 2 years, during which time Mark was introduced to a fledgling Bass player by the name of James (Jimbo) Hamilton. The pair hit it off immediately and began learning covers to play together with Russell on drums. But as often happens in life things change, and when Russell left Brisbane and moved to Perth in pursuit of love, Mark and Jimbo found themselves with a huge hole in their sound. Jimbo made the decision to start playing drums and a guy named Brett bought his bass along and soon they were back on track. They started to build up quite a range of covers and were in the process of actually playing in front of an audience when, as so often happens, Brett got a better offer, and one night as they tried to play a rendition of Pink Floyds song Money, They realised something was missing, the bass line, Brett was gone.
To be continued Rock on..... Mark -No Rhythm-

Hi Mark!
mmmmmmm that sounds like a flood warning!
It's freezing down here in the Shakey Islesfinding plenty of distractions to keep me away from the net-since iac went down.
I did grab a cherry off your tree, and savoured it, rolled it round my mouth, tasty!!

Hi Mark,
Unfortunately I have not done anything about the drum synths yet. I had a look at the site, and got a bit confused as to what I should get. Then I got deeply involved in finishing my CD So Much to Learn ( I am not sure why as nobody seems to like it!!) well they are certainly not parting with their money...
Anyway, I will be overseas for a while, but when I return in a couple of months I may need that link again so I can have another look....I think I really miss my band, real guitars and drums!!! Oh well you can't have everything in life I guess...
Ciao,
Vincenzo
P.S. I almost forgot, good work with the new tunes!! Just one question, what mike are you using??
