We have a War measures act,back in 1970 our PM P E Trudeau as the leader of the liberal party invoked the only peacetime use of the War Measures Act due to terrorist activities by the FLQ in Quebec. our PM actually has more power in our country then your Prez does in your fine USA. sweeping powers , one man with more power then the rest of the government, and nothing the rest of the elected officials can do to block or stop those type of decisions very disconcerting.
