deja vu
Another site I'm familiar with got rid of their political forum which was very popular because of crybaby conservatives (who usually won't even admit they're conservatives) who are self-loathing because they argue to the death about things and their belief system is so mangled they blame the forum for the dialogue that occurs. That's what I think of when I see Tosoff make a statement like "this place will never be able to be a reputable viable organization with that kind of mentality." If your arguments can't hold up in a free speech forum you blame the forum?? Well I happen to think there's never been a more important time to have an open political dialogue. You most certainly don't have to visit here if you don't like politics or political discussions.

nothing to do with whining, it is the way we you me treat one another Scott, we all participate in bullying, and it is unacceptable behavior. so this is not a political forum, far from it, some aspects of politics from varying points of view, what i see here is degrading and bullying. everyone has been a part of it. myself included.

Bryon, I've posted in maybe 20 political forums in my years online and that's basically the nature of the beast. There was one forum that didn't have any namecalling but the people there were meaner than any other. It's just what happens when people talk about politics online, so I find it to be no big deal.
