Welcome to Super Songwriters. This station shines a spotlight on the best songwriters on IAC in the humble opinion of JP Sharpe. Emphasis will unapologetically be placed on acoustic blues and folk songs. The approach is totally subjective based on my interest and tastes :) The artists included here are some of my favorite songwriters in the whole wide world, period. I will post multiple songs from each artist. I'll say a few words about the artist next to the first song and let you absorb the rest. The bottom line here is that if the doctor told me I was going to die tomorrow, I would make a quick stop here on this page to have one last listen before I am gone for good. Enjoy.

He's a great musician and performer, but it's the lyrical content and the way his songs are put together that moves me to include him here among my favorite songwriters at IAC. Hugh has many great tunes, so it is tough to choose a fistful. But I lean toward the more folky, stripped down songs among his current offerings.
