I was born in Kentucky and grew up on a farm where we had no indoor plumbing but lots of tobacco and cows. It was a great way to grow up, but I hungered for something more. I went off to college, majored in theatre and pursued a career acting in regional theatre, off-off Broadway theatre and independent film. After living for forty years in New Jersey, I found myself returning to my roots and writing songs influenced by much of the music I heard as a kid. The songs are a little country, a little folk, but really hard to place in any one category. I've been married for forty years (to the same woman...!), I'm a damn good cook, and I like long walks on the beach.
My Sweet Evangeline This is a song about regret, not so much for what we've done but what we didn't do
Desperation This song bemoans the socio-political state of things in the US
It's Over Now
Cheap Whiskey Blues
Is Loving Me So Hard To Do?
In My Dreams Sometimes dreams are better than reality...
Rear View Mirror Gotta let go of those dysfunctional relationships...
Bitter Winds This is a song about emerging from a place of numbing loneliness to find love.
Remind Me just an old-fashioned love song...
Feel Your Sunshine
Telling Me Goodbye
The Wind Is An Unfaithful Lover
An Empty Shadow
Without A Trace
Petals Of A Rose
What Once Was Tomorrow
I'll Be Just As Gone
