I'd like to thank the Academy
OK, I know I've already thanked folks from my own homepage here on IAC (cleverly titled "Andrew Chalfen"), but I was finally able to gain entry into the Trolleyvox's own page. Snuck in while they were repairing the soft-serv machine. Ha! And they said I wasn't tall enough to be granted the password. I sure showed them, didn't I? And I see, through no fault of my own, or of my band, who shall remain blamelessly clueless regarding this sensitive matter, that the Trolleyvox are Numero Uno on the KIAC Big 50. Which tickles my synapses to no end in all sorts of delicious and inappropriate ways. What can I say? Am I more shocked that 1) the extremely unlikely confluence of folks listening to and actually liking a Trolleyvox song got us to the tippy top, or that 2) it was a computer error and I'm still in the dark about it, or 3) that you guys picked "Intermission" of all songs. Man, I never saw that one coming. I mean, "Jean Jacket", sure, or even "I Call on You", something snappy that the kids could shake and shing-a-ling to on Ready Steady Go. But looking and listening around, it's nice to see a community of musical types who actually like quiet acoustic songs, so I guess we're in good company, huh? So I was going to post some demos of things on my own page, but I just may do it here instead. Mainly so I don't have to create an IAC artist account in my name rather than a listener account, which I apparently did not knowing any better. I'm a born button pusher and my instincts got the better of me. No surprise there.

Anyroad, you guys rock. Even when you rock quietly. I'm humbled and grateful. And the rest of the Trolleyvox, if I were to get off my ass and actually check in with them, I sure would be, too.

Shocked and stunned,

Andrew Tvox
