That depends on your definition of reality does it not?
So say that we have a shared sense of reality say for example we all agree what color is blue and green etc but who's to say that just because that is how we perceive it that is reality but even that example is flawed. Take in consideration in that same situation some one who is color blind has a completely different reality in terms on color or lack of it and how they perceive it so in the color blind reality there is no blue or green. Which reality is right? They are both right based on the perception of the perspective of the viewer

Tell 10 different people the exact same thing and ask all tell of them if what you said was positive or negative or neutral and see how many variations of reality you get for just one statement may mean something completely different to you than it does for me.

The same is true in music play the same song to 100 different people and your bound to have many different explanations of the song and how each person relates to it.

"a lot of people don't struggle with depression, they struggle with the reality we live in" If that is the case then I would say there is a great number of people who fail to realize that what is considered as current reality can be altered and if that person is willing to take the steps that they can in a positive way to a better outcome then the reality becomes something different.

The "reason" people become depressed is that they no longer feel that they can alter the reality they get stuck they become helpless or hopeless. If we can help each other to break the negative cycle and to view each others reality without judgment but instead an open mind heart and helping hand then the only cases of depression that would exist would be clinical cases of chemical imbalance but the vast majority of depression is caused by isolation loneliness fear and feeling that no one gives a damn. If we could change that perception to one of love kindness and understanding imagine how few cases of depression would exist.

In the words of John Lennon "I know I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one"

Wow, Two Silo!(VERY "Complex)
I like what you have shared here.(well... "like"?... maybe not? after all it IS NOT "fun" dealing with depression!)
Anyway, I really "enjoyed"(or am "impressed" with) how you have expressed the "truth" in this matter. Lots of insight. "You Care"!!!! Nice... and "THANKS"!!! -M-

So true, Ken. Actually if we could change our perspective to one of love and support for each other or even just non judgmental, lots of things wouldn't be a problem, including depression.

Whats depression i believe in life is what u make it. No time for depression only making my world the way i want it. Which is really infectious to people around you. Hey if he can do it people need direction sometimes. All it needs is a wee bit of empathy for your brothers and sisters . Can't get a job so can't get a house can't get this and that hey it's just money. No-one needs it really but we are forced to use it to survive. And it can pulled from you at any time. Until this changes nothing will change. We own the right to print our own sovereign currency without debt or any fee of any kind and use it as the people of that country see fit. That has been stolen from us by greedy people who want more so much more until. The people of that country are living in squalor in the streets. Addicted to drugs and alcohol with nowhere to go living in a make shift shelter because the bank just took everything from you. These people are geniune swivel eye looney tunes i don't get how anyone could be taken in by them. Thats right they own our printing presses lol

I couldn't agree with you (Two Silo Complex) more. I'm red/green colour blind so the analogy you used hits home. Knowing that I perceive colour differently than they do people will often try to get me to explain to them what I see; however, I'm expected to explain this is terms of how they see things. Of course, I've never experienced their reality so I can never really "paint the picture" so to speak. I have been depressed because I felt helpless to change my reality. I don't feel that way anymore. Reality is fragile. The ripple effect of even the smallest action can alter reality forever.
