Hope for the future of music ?
There's a painting called HOPE which is said to be important in US politics particularly - Theodore Roosevelt displayed a copy and it inspired great speeches by Martin Luther King Jn (1959), Jeremiah Wright (1990) and Barrack Obama (2004) and his book 2006 The Audacity of Hope.

However, I see it as particularly relevant to hope in the music world as there is a broken lyre at the center.

I'd be interested to know what others here got from the painting and how it might be interpreted.

A Broken Lyre yes. However she is chained to the instrument. Meaning to me she cannot let it go. The Blindfold to I, means she can only hear, and not judge by her sight.

Inspiring indeed!
