If you had a million huge Beatles' fans and had all of them pen their Top 10's, you'd be hard pressed to see any two lists that are identical and in the same order. For example, in my own list, maybe 4 of this Top 10 would be in mine. The supposed #1 ADITL might make my Top 100. The Beatles are my #2 All-Time Band, but currently somewhat precariously.

One of my other friends has The Beatles as his #1 Band by a wide margin. He hates ADITL and it might not even make his personal Top 200; lol!

Music is so subjective and beauty is in the ear of the beholder. We all know that, right?

ok Todd, I like all those, in fact, the most popular songs I teach these days to my piano students, are BEATLES TUNES, cause they all have a melody!!! and are playable, damn those guys could lay down sweet pieces of melody lines. the best ever pop group.

Great list Scott! When someone posts a Top 11 and The Beatles are their #1 All-Time Band, then I pay attention. It is hard to make a bad Top 11 of their tunes, most all are so great.

I jotted mind down last year, but misplaced the paper before I posted it. It would probably be different year to year anyway.

I have 3 Beatles' song books, one is a "Fake Book" with 176 songs and the other two have complete sheet music for piano, guitar, and vocals. One has a copyright date of 1964 and the other 1971. Pre-technology days as a teen and young adult and then a newlywed I would sit for hours and play nothing but Beatles' songs on my piano.

BTW, Christomir said that their official catalog lists 217 songs, not 213. The Beatles are also his #1 by a LARGE margin, he said. IMHO, you or I or he could write a much better list than this guy; one that would align much better with big Beatles' fans across the universe.

Yah, the guy's songlist is whack lol imhv...

Much prefer Richard's and Scott's list, they show an experience with the Beatles, away from rhetoric...

It's also prob'ly true the music one grows up with will warm the cockles of your heart, in a special way, and music you hear when you are older, well yes, you may enjoy, maybe love it, but in a different way.

First love is (well) special...

Wow Richard! Your Top 11 is very close to what mine might be! You probably picked 6 or 7 songs that I would!

But lol; does not a Top List need to be in exact order? I guess there is no rule; you could have an 11-way tie for #1. These are all great classics!

Totally agree Steve! Actually, the more I read his blurbs, the more I wanted to write counter-points and disagree with the dude on many, but not all songs. But as they say, "to each their own." Everyone is entitled to his or her opinions. Maybe the dude took the time to make this list, to stimulate discussions such as this one on the Pipeline. I gotta give him some credit where credit is due.

Subconsciously my fav list might be in a particular order from most loved to least loved but more likely I just love them all equally - like the Beatles themselves.
