get more streaming by following these key suggestions-cdbaby
My son recommended this approach to me 2 years ago, so I took his advice, it made a difference
Now recently cdbaby suggested a similar idea in a recent email, many of you probably got that email from them, it works,
So my Son, being a millennial and a music aficionado and one who was in the tech biz for some time, a programmer for many years and understands how all this stuff all works. He would know. He is an avid listener of all kinds of music and mentioned everyone of the things listed by cdbaby , I did all this as shown below beforehand, and it works, I found myself getting featured and having spotify playlist 50 of my songs on a channel they put up awhile back. I am not famous, never will be, nor do I get millions of listens, but do decent, some here will though get things cooking, soon, I am sure and be a star as they should be, with the music that is posted here regularly, it is bound to happen, I hear some fantastic amazing works. Start it up people. okay, dont hesitate, do it ,get with it. work it.
anyways I have promotions happening, its going pretty well for the person I am pitching to the various platforms out there, roots ,americana, blues on terrestrial radio, satellite, internet, they are charting at rootsmusicreport and we have at least 200 stations playing their music. yeah
do your thing. love what you do, do what you love. onward, now back to promotions
TIPS TO FOLLOW
Get more streaming listeners for your music.
If you're looking to build an audience on streaming platforms, we recommend you consistently release singles. As said by a Spotify rep, "The more individual tracks [you have], the more chances you are getting to present your music to people".
Even if you don't have an obvious "lead single" ready, there are so many different types of songs to release. Here are five other types of singles to consider:
A cover song
A live cut
A collaboration with another artist
A re-released track from an older album (to give that song more attention)
