Dwell was a Raleigh-based project made up of Randall Rhodes (Vocals/Bass/Keys)Eric Aittala (Vocals/Guitar/Keys) Brian LaRue (Drums/Percussion/Programming). Dwell recorded from 2005 to 2008. We hope you continue to enjoy the music we created together. Eric and Randall continue to be musically active. Gods 'Gods' is a song of extremes; half industrial metal, half melodic acoustic. Randall originally conceived 'Gods' in 1999 for the short-lived band 'Spanking Kate'. From the crude one mic demo, Eric finished fleshing out the song and Brian added the finishing touches. Dwell would like to personally thank Aleister Crowley for dropping by and lending his voice to our diety inspired ditty.
Beneath the Sand Beneath the Sand is the fifth song we have completed. It's a pretty synth heavy tune...Vocal duties are split between Randall (on verses) and Eric (choruses). Also, while recording Randall decided to pull the bass part out of left field...It's pretty different, but it fits. We hope you enjoy it....
OtherSide This was the first song we actually completed as a band. It features Randall singing lead vocals.
Leave 'Leave' is a synth-laden metal song featuring Eric on vocals.
The Door
Pepur Tree
Oblivious Oblivious is the sixth installment from us...It started out as a synth and bass riff exchange between Eric and Randall and snowballed from there. The secondary loops, electronic sounds, and drums were added by Brian to fill in the gaps. It's ended up being a really cool tune and......You can dance to it ;)
World of Sorrow World of Sorrow is our 4th song completed. This one has a blend of lite electronics, heavy guitars, and Randall on vocals. It's definitely the heaviest tune we've posted to date.
Late Again 'Late Again' is a hauntingly beautiful ballad featuring Randall on vocals accompanied by Eric on the keys.
Void Existence This song is definitely shows of our diversity in style. Randall really shines vocally and on bass. Check out the cool vocal harmonies and 3-part bass harmonies. We're really proud how this one turned out.
Nitroglycerin Eyes Nitroglycerin Eyes was a tune that Brian had writen about 3 years ago for his electronic project. Along the way, Randall heard it and had the bass and lyrical idea for it. Eric rerecorded the guitars for the chorus and Brian redid the drums...The rest is from the original track.
