Kim McLean is an award winning songwriter with over 200 songwriting credits, who chose to remain behind the scenes as a writer while raising her children. She has finally moved into the spotlight as an artist with her own independent sound on her own independent label, Hippie Chick Twang. This is Kim McLean's music. Is she country? Is she folk? Is she rock? She just writes and sings the music she feels. It sorta sounds, well...like Hippie Chick Twang music. Kim McLean has a kickin' studio band: John D. Willis on guitar, banjo (but don't tell anybody), and odd stringed instruments Dave Hungate on bass Eddie Bayers, Jr on drums and percussion Russ Pahl on the nastiest steel and coolest slide guitar/dobro ever Jonathon Yudkin on fiddle (can you call what he does...fiddle?) Kim's Road Band "Acousti-Grass": Kris Donegan on lead guitar Dave Jacques on acoustic/stand up bass Chris Herron and Jakob Courtney also play bass on some road dates. Steve Latanation on drums Tom Rhody and Rick Malkin on percussion Her favorite drummer of all is Will McLean Johnston...her 11 year old son who just plain rocks with his mama! Kim McLean has endorsements and uses exclusively: Taylor Acoustic Guitars, Gibson (The Vixen) Electrics, D'Addario Strings, Washburn Mandolins, and Audio Technica Microphones.
