Creating stations of entirely your own music?!?!
I thought that's what the band pages were for.
So... why?
(and, I just created a cheeky little one for me, by the way.)
But seriously, why?

You want to. It's a free country. In your case, your music resides on separate pages and this station allows you to link your identities...or maybe you'd like to group or arrange them for playlist reasons...or reveal more about them in typed DJ comments, or recorded intros. Or perhaps you're just a narcissistic freak who can't get enough of yourself. They're all fine reasons to me.

One of the great features of a Station as opposed to a Band page is being able to add an 'External Track' I now have a bunch of more unusual songs and shorts on a Station and that is the ONLY place a listener will find them. These songs don't go into the charting system of course but you do get stats on them and they can be added to other Stations.

Yeah, you know, looking at the station, I feel kinda like Bowie. But without all the money and recognition.

Stations are more "accessible". I tend to search for music on stations, when I don't know where to start looking. Besides...why not?

I think the main reason would be to export the player to another site which only allows you to upload a few songs e.g. Myspace which only allows you 4 or 5.

Or you could be real cool and your awesome friends would build one for you, Like for instance there are a few here. Or you might die and that would be a very good reason.
Its like art work, if the person dies everyone suddenly loves them so much.
Peace and don't die, it aint worth it.

I think that one of the best things about creating an IAC Station is that not only can you build a flow of music which you enjoy and can share, you can add words about why you enjoy a song and also at the same time support those other IAC musicians whose work you like.
I think it's both a wasted opportunity and disappointing when people don't add any words to the songs they have chosen.
I think it defeats the object of supporting others if you only have your own music on a Station but see nothing wrong in including a few of your own if only to hear how they flow amongst other songs.
There are plenty mp3 web players out there which will allow you to create and export your own playlist but they don't have the more personalised features offered here on IAC.

Who says stations are only for supporting others, I didn't see that rule listed anywhere.
