My "The Good Stuff" station is #33 on the station charts?!?!
Cool.
Yeah, the numbers mean nothing, really but I'm glad that you all are listening. And I hope that you dig what you're hearing.

Oh, and I should state that, if you are asking me to add your song, and I do not, it is not that it isn't good, per se.
It's just not my thing. Please take no offense.

Todd ------------well they ARE a moment in time!
I think it's great / takes a lot of effort to run a successful one / keeping it there is the hard bit / good work!

Just listen to stuff at IAC.
Add the stuff that you like. (I try to keep the styles as wide-ranging as possible.)
And make the player play on "RANDOM" for best effect.
Also, adding a short blurb about each tune, I find is not only appreciated by the artists, but, as a listener, I like to see that, too. Helps to get a feel for what the station is all about before I ever click the arrow key.
Also, don't get overwhelmed by all the request for an ear in your shoutbox. Listen to what you want, when you want. It's the surest way to get a station that is most satisfying to you. Make it your own personal playlist... and if and when other people listen, that's a very nice thing.

Creating stations is a piece of cake here. Pick a catchy name and your all set.
The rest is all right there on the right side of your home page after you sign in.
This place is great like that. click on anything and its a link. Peace

I only have two stations. They've never been very popular. I put songs on that I like and I like odd things. I deliberately put obscure songs by obscure artists and/or unpopular songs by popular artists on them. Not a formula for a chart topping station. I only put songs I like on them though. I never add a song just because someone asks me to, and I don't add songs just because they are popular. The Square Foot Facility is my favorite and I've listened to it over and over. Now I'm tired of it so it's time to start a new one. I never know what to do with old ones, though. I did retire one a while back.
I always wonder about names. "Square Foot Facility" was a band name we toyed with when we were thinking of changing our name. It came about when there was a webpage open on my computer that said "...a 300 square foot facility..." and a window was covering the 300. I pictured some sort of facility dedicated to square feet. It made me laugh.

The Good Stuff's a good station Todd..I listened last week and added a few from it to mine-so thanks for finding those gems..Will definitely check back regularly..
None of my stations 'chart' well at all-but i think a couple of people other than me check them out from time to time..
For anyone with (roughly) similar taste(alt retro/pop/rock/folk) i reckon you should!
Like you Todd n Stegor i never add anything unless i really like it-
I think the way they chart is if you have the player playing on your myspace page.I don't have that..

I don't have that either, Steve.
And I've been honored enough to share a bill with a couple of the folks whose music I love enough to have on my station (Apollo Sunshine and Freedy Johnston).
And yeah, I just like sharing the music that I love. (I'm the guy in the office who goes around with a stack of CDs making everyone listen to things that they've never heard before.) So the fact that people are listening makes me feel good.

Wow.
Now it's back up to #7!
That's as high as it's ever been, I think!
Still adding songs here and there, and I will be deleting a few, as well.
Nothing personal, it's just that the set list is getting kinda long and I need to trim some of the stuff that been on there for a while to make room for new blood.

Hey Todd,
Congrats on the high rating station.
Its always nice to know that someone else likes to listen to the same things you do.
I also agree my only station rule is if I like it I play it. I also have had requests for adds that I did not put on its nothing personal just my taste.
Keep on bringing the "good stuff". You have a great collection.

Hi Todd,
congratulations!
I have a question: Is there a way to find out, where my station is listed in the station charts?

I guess The Good Stuff family is making a pretty big splash over here at IAC, huh?
The Good Stuff is actually #7 on the charts now and The Good Stuff Trois is #30!!!
I gotta see what happened to The Good Stuff, Too!!!. Where'd it go on the charts? And, The Good Stuff 4 U is pretty new. So, hopefully that one'll climb, as well.
Thanks for listening.

Hey Todd,
Thank you for adding 2 songs to the Good Stuff Too and 3 songs to The Good Stuff Trois! It's an honor that a musical conasieur like yourself would feel that my stuff is good. I also appreciate the very kind words that you have imparted about the songs and about me. Congratulations to you on your station success and may you have many more.

Dude, just posted on your page before I saw this. Your stations rule. We have really been overwhelmed by the incredible talent we have seen in our short time here, and are ecstatic to be a part of all this.
