New song is only up for a short time "Come On, Let's Go"
"Come On, Let's Go"
This is the one that will still be receiving some backing vox from Auset and steel guitar from her husband Brad. But, as it is now, it is completely releasable.
A warning:
This will only be available for streaming as a preview. Listen now, and add to your stations, at your own peril, as it will be disappearing in a week or so.
Thanks for listening.

May I say once again that I think it is FAB that you will be doing the "in the flesh" thang with Auset and Brad. Go, kids, GO! The whole pedal/lap steel vibe is sooooo cool - I've been intrigued and tempted but it seems like real foreign territory and I'm afraid of getting stuck in BeginningLand for years (lol). Ain't had a listen yet, but will...

Wow - that is different Todd - in a good way. I'm listening through terrible little notebook built-in speakers and it still sounds real nice and full. I'll have to read the song notes - but are those real strings? I'm into it. Dig the pizzicato. Makes me hungry for pizza.
xo,

Thanks so much for listening and for the comments.
And yeah, Hugh, those are real strings.
I've had a couple of comments about the poorly played voila at the end, but I did it intentionally that way. Eh.
I'm glad that you all like it.

Isn't that cheating or something?
This kinda means we're gonna have to take you seriously....

Hey all.
Thanks for checking it out! I know it's something really different and I like that!
And Ray... thanks for adding it to your "New Songs" station.
Just wanna remind you that I'm taking it down tomorrow.
But, honestly, you were one of the folks I thought about when I posted it here. Just felt to me like your kinda tune. I'm curious to know your thoughts.
And Richard Scotti's and Kevin White's too.
It's just that kinda production and y'all are the folks that I have yet to hear from.

It's coming down at 3:00 p.m. CST today.
Just a heads-up.
Thanks to all of you who listened and commented. It is much appreciated and I am looking forward to presenting it to you in its final, final form in a couple of months.

I love this song, Todd and I think it has a lot of commerical potential. It kind of reminds me of a James Blunt type of vibe....poignant and very melodic. I love the simplicity of the arrangement...sparce, lean and direct. There's room to breath in this song. Have you considered adding any drums or percussion? Used very sparingly, I think they would punch up sections of the song nicely. You could still have sections without them and the contrast would give the song more dynamics. But that's just me wearing my producer's hat and my suggestion is very subjective. The song is perfect as is. Anything you add at this point will be icing on a rather delicious cake.

Thanks, Richard!
I was looking forward to what you might have to say. I don't think that I am adding any percussion, just the (potential) steel guitar and female harmonies.
I really appreciate your thoughts, your suggestions, and your ear. I'm so glad that you liked it!

Any time, Todd. The female harmonies will sound really sweet. Can't wait to hear 'em. I forgot to mention your vocals are on the money. I think this song is one of your best.
This is a song you commented on a few weeks ago and I did more work on it, especially the new second half that starts at 2:09. I still intend to add words/vocals but I think it's more of a song than a piece now.

Hey Todd the only reason I didn't add this to my station is because you're taking it down... so please be sure and let me know when it's done and back up so I can kidnap it and make the world listen.

Hey, Todd, I added a fuzz guitar solo in the second half of TOUCH U and shortened the song considerably. Thanks for the advice. Have a listen. Words/vocals will be next.
