Richard, huge congratulations on your TWO Golden Kayak Awards tonight! As I read Pipeline posts and comments in 2017, I could see this was long overdue recognition for you. More thoughts from me on your artists' page. I am beyond thrilled about all the results tonight!
I really need to begin "Music Monsters Volume 2" very soon this winter! Once again, you will be one of my featured artists, without a shadow of a doubt!

Thank you so much for all your kind words and support, Michael. Your work as a station manager has been a major contribution to my recent wins. In addition to adding my songs to your amazing and popular stations, your thoughtful praise with each song has been really helpful to the rise of those songs up the charts. Your enthusiasm for music is inspirational to me and others while your influence at IMP
continues to grow by the day. Keep up the good work!
I'm just a wandering on the face of this earth
Meeting so many people
Who are trying to be free
And while I'm traveling I hear so many words
Language barriers broken
Now we've found the key

Further to my post last evening on Bluto's "Official Golden Kayak Pipeline Thread", hearty congratulations once again, Richard, on your 2017 Best Male Artist Golden Kayak Award and on your Golden Kayak Award for Best Classic and Progressive Rock Song - both wins long in coming your way.
Wishing you continued success in the days ahead.

Richard, I am truly sorry for misnaming you above. It's these damned graveyard shifts that are catching up to me. 22 years of darkness. When I wake up in the afternoon it takes me a long time to get my bearings

You can call me Tom.

No problem, Norm or Tom? Can I call you Desperado? :-) I wanted to personally thank you for adding my songs to your stations and for the nice comments that always accompany them. I've really come to realize the importance of station managers like you to artists trying to get their songs heard.
Thank you as well, Stoneman. You've been an inspiration to me and to so many others here from the moment we met you. You are a great person and a great artist. Live long and prosper!
Thank you for your kind words, Neil. It was wonderful getting to know you when we worked together and shared some interesting insights about work and music and life. As an artist and as a human being, you are truly the "real thing".

Well Richard,
Like I said last night on the thread, you and all the artists on IMP are the true Desperados, You are on the front line. If it wasn't for you artists, there would be no station managers.

Hope Normand doesn't mind Richard, but I like to call him FCL, or French Canadian Lynx! Long story, but we became friends on a fan club sire, we stayed somewhat connected. I did not know until recently he was also Desperado Revue Man.
He CRUSHES it when it comes to adding songs quickly! He and I have different styles when it comes to station management and that is really cool! I write all these elongated, heartfelt, and mushy hand-crafted blurbs and set them in their places until I change to sequence every 6 months. He add songs by the minute and then scrambles the whole playlist daily! LOVE IT! I'll add another station soon and be much less blurby, but I'll still manage into mini set-lists of 3 or 4 per artist. Yup, by whatever name he goes by, this Normand is one groovy dude!
