Second Chance revisited and other news...
Yep. The new version is up, heavier and tighter than ever with a new bass line and rippin' solo by none other than Grega Habic.
Check it out here.
Also since Grega and I have had such a good time working on tunes together, we've decided to make it an official project called Fighting the Undertow. We've already got the first tune in the works, and we aim to make this a "band" of sorts by actually composing and writing songs together instead of just adding some tracks after the fact. Should be a lot of fun and interesting.
Hope to get that new song up soon on a new page for Fighting the Undertow. I also wanted to add if anyone feels like doing vocals to any of these tunes, or anything on my page for that matter, please feel free to contact me.
Last but not least, I'm working on a cover of Hop On Pop's "The Yummy Song". What a cool tune! It'll be a little while before it's finished, but if Todd is gracious enough to let me put it up here at IAC, I'll happily do so. It's going to be my first official attempt at a vocal! Oh my.
Cheers!

Cool new instrumental, Jesse.
And, not that I think that your vocal is going to be anything less than brilliant, but if any song can handle a shaky vocal, it's "The Yummy Song". Just look what kind of beating it took from me!!!
I'm really looking forward to hearing it, brotha. And I'm honored that you asked me to do it.

Wow Jesse, I'm Jealous! A collaboration of sorts with HOP on POP, or at least a cover !
I'm tryin' to get Mr. Sharpe to allow me to do his BLUES tune:
Used to be cool back in High School Blues
as a PUNK tune cover with me on vocals & Bass.
We're just haggling over the details & who would do what. We actually THOUGHT about asking TODD to do the guitar work, and SUPERPuss or HUGH to do the drums and some additional instumentation... Make it a FOUR WAY..... urrrr... that didn't sound right!
Anyhoo.... GO jesse - AND GO Todd !!!! This'll help promote BOTH of y'all's MUSIC more than you would think

Hookay. Ukelele , Guitar OR --- if we could do a COUNTRY punk version --- How's about some BANJO, eh? C'mon, you know it would be a GAS!
We could do an AWESOME cover, and if we can't get an IAC Artist, I've got 3 drummers bangin' around in the Conversation Suicide collective.
COME TO THINK OF IT --- I LOVE that idea! Hugh -- would you do some BANJO rythm & leads on a Country-Punk tune a la style of "dead Milkmen" for J.P.'s great tune? I'll even Hickify the melodic, but punky vocals for flava....
whadaya thinK? If I could get you on board, I KNOW we can make this happen, and J.P. Sharpe will be MOST pleased indeed!

Todd you're the man. I think your voice is perfect for The Yummy Song, and I rather liked your vocal on the original. It just fit the vibe of the song perfectly. I'm looking forward to hearing it done as well man, and I'm honored you were so kind to let me do it.
Phlegm, thanks! I checked out that song you linked too, real cool man, great lyrical content and good guitar playing too. I'd never run across Mr. Sharpe's page before, glad you linked to it, good stuff. You and him and Hugh would be real cool on a track together. He kinda reminds me of Hughs stuff, and I think Hugh is one of the best here at IAC personally.
Speaking of, Hugh what is the "cloning" story on Hughs News? What did I miss? Oh and THANKS a ton for adding Second Chance to your stations, wouldn't have guessed you dig a song like that! :)

I would love to do the guitar puke on that Patrick Sharpe tune, if only I had the means to record it and whatnot. How far are you from Chicago?
And I'm looking forward to the interview, Jesse.
