In Conversation with Raymond Porter
Ray stopped by for a visit and asked me a few questions. It was a lot of fun and a neat experience. I think what Ray is doing to support the IAC and it's artists is wonderful, and I'm quite happy to be included in his work. Thank you Ray!
Check the interview out here.
Cheers

I listened to it earlier today.
Damn, you young, Jesse!
It was a fun interview and great to hear your voice. Sounds to me like you could sing!
And Ray:
Great questions, as usual!
A lot of fun. Both of you.

Todd, yeah I'm kind of a spring chicken... that's why I can't figure out sometimes why I feel old!
Hugh, haha, it's true. I got a real sophisticated setup, lol. I guess it's not too bad for a D-bag. :D

Laughin' WITCHYA not ATCHYA Jesse (but I figure you know that).
I started out years ago with nothing more than a little mixing board, an SM57 and a 1/4" reel-to-reel...took me decades to figure out why I sounded terrible...conversely, you're rockin' on your gear...we all use whatever we can get our hands on, and that's the way it should be...keep on rockin'...
:)

Thanks jesse and all who have commented.
As with all the interviewees i now feel i know jesse much better now.
Meanings and opinions can get misunderstood in the blogs but to hear someones voice confirms that we are all on the same side in our desire to great good music and to support each other.
The next interview will be with phlem.
Auset, you are well worth the wait.
steve we can do a bonsi chainsaw one if you like and still want to do nigel.
so lot's of goodies on the way and thanks again to all who support this project.

I finally got to check the whole interview out. Great to learn more about you, Jesse. Your music is excellent, and hearing about the process just adds to the appeal. (Hmmm... 'the Boonies'- I liked that movie.)
Ray - thanks for wanting some BC participation (we may even return the favour). I'll get in touch. Add my thanks to those who appreciate all you do for IAC and independent artists. The fact that you're also a helluva songwriter just doesn't seem fair.

Very nicely done by both of you. It's the first interview I've had the chance to listen to on IAC, and I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.

Wow thanks guys for all the comments and kind words. It's great so may of you are checking out the interview. I hope you're finding it entertaining at least! At first I felt my answers were a bit long winded and boring, but after a few listens I suppose they're about right. Is me listening to my own interview vain? It's just kind of surreal to me. :)

Great interview ... in the tradition of Raymonds grand theme it is just one more fantastic piece of time well spent ... I love hearing all the different Artist and getting a little better picture of them in my head ...
Nice to hear some youth Jesse ... Although you're not really a spring chicken any more, you still represent a piece of the here and now ... and the future of music ... Rock on !...
" Is me listening to my own interview vain? It's just kind of surreal to me. :)"
I listened to my own and thought I sounded kinda strange at first ... and I wondered if I'd made a fair presentation of myself .... but actually in the end I guess I did alright ... and I'd say everyone so far has done real well ...
We are all so different ... yet all so the same ...

GREAT interview guyz... Ray you really ARE good at this. Jesse suprised to hear the 311 influence! Figured you had to have METAL influences too, and COOL that you have hip-hop & MANY other influences. No wonder your music rocks. Kudos on the Collaboration CD forthcomin', loved your work with Greg Habic on DRONE & Self Destruct Sequence....
nicely done.
