Valentine's Day SUCKS
Nothing like good ol' V Day to make you feel like a loser for being alone. I guess it evens out for the other 364 days I'm convinced I'm a genius.

The Beatles were wrong.
Money can buy you love.
Available most street corners across the U.S.
I'm talking via Valentine's Day cards in the greeting card aisle of your local pharmacy.
Jeez people, clean up your thoughts!
lol ...

Jesse
You need to get away from yourself. If you look in the mirror and don't feel capable of finding yourself a valentine, wear a disguise and try a new personality. Wear camoflauge and say you're in the service. Wear a jock strap over your pants and try to pass yourself off as an athlete. Wear a suit and try to act like a gentleman though that may be a difficult sell. :D Then if you find someone using this tactic, you'll know she really loves you if she stays after you confess that you're a fraud.

on a more positve note!!
Remember the musical -"Hair"???
maybe THIS is the answer
The Aquarian alignment 14th February 2009
' We measure our global sense of both space (latitude and longitude) and time (universal time - UT or GMT) from the prime meridian located at Greenwich, England. So we can perceive the collective influence of this momentous astrological event by looking at the alignment from this globally ‘centered' perspective.
When we do something extraordinary and exquisite emerges
At dawn on 14th February the day dedicated to St Valentine, the patron saint of Love, the Moon in Libra enters the seventh house of relationships. And Jupiter and Mars are aligned in Aquarius in the twelfth house of spiritual transformation.
Forty years ago, the intuitive words of a song called Aquarius, brought the dawning of the new age into our collective awareness:
the Dawning of the age of Aquarius!"
"When the Moon is in the seventh house
and Jupiter aligns with Mars.
Then peace will guide the planets
and love will steer the stars"
At dawn on 14th February the Cosmos actually embodies this perfect alignment to support our collective manifestation of love and peace and dawning of the Age of Aquarius.
The Aquarian chart of 14th February reveals an incredible concentration of cosmic influences blending with the energies of Aquarius in the twelfth house. Expansive Jupiter and energetic Mars are aligned with the higher purpose of the North Node. The presence of Chiron the wounded healer offers us the opportunity to heal the schisms that have separated us for so long. Neptune emphasizes collective humanitarian movements and the co-creation of social justice. And the presence of the radiant Sun enlightens the entire alignment.
Mercury also in the twelfth house but just beyond the cusp in Capricorn, allies with transformational Pluto to communicate and anchor the Shift throughout our global structures and institutions.
The Moon in Libra in the seventh house emphasizes harmonious real -ationships.
Venus in Aries in the first house energizes and empowers dynamic co-creativity.
And whilst Saturn the great task master in opposition to Uranus the unexpected awakener is suggesting an ongoing confrontation as the dregs of the unsustainable old paradigm reluctantly give way to the untested hope of the new, their placements in Virgo and Pisces brings practical altruism and visionary inspiration to the transition.
At 7.25am on 14th February - and for the 18 minutes of the alignment, I invite you, in the universal heart, to add your own intention for love and peace and to co-create the dawning of the Age of Aquarius to that of the Cosmos. In whatever way feels appropriate for you, you may choose to align with7.25am (UT) or 7.25am your own local time energizing a wave of intention that will surge around the Earth. '

Jesse -
valentines day is a made up hallmark retail sucker day... sell sell sell and sell some more. pulled 2 of my kids out of school early today, to avoid the stupidity of it all. of course of them was born today (day before cupid's arrow... whew)... and eleven years ago, it was also friday, the 13th... a beautiful day indeed.
i remember, i hated the shit in jr. high and high school, when the cheerleaders sold carnations... best friends and boyfriends, girls running around with loads of flowers... never felt like a bigger loser. great thing for my husband and me,we don't do v-day, nope! hell, we have any day we want for good lovin', flowers, dinner, whatever... best thing is... i'm not your typical girl... and guitar pedal goes a lot further than flowers - hahaha... so its a no pressure day for us... he doesn't run around last minute saying "wtf do I get her this year"... and because of that - don't you know he showed up with a sweet bunch of roses and laughed... said "I couldn't help myself". hahaha
you're definitely NOT a loser!

Thanks Auset. Sounds like you have a real cool family. :)
Liked the comic Sam! haha
And Kev, yeah I know... that's my main reasoning for staying away from a relationship... I don't think I have time... I've said a million times I'd be farther along with my music if I hadn't spent the last 6 or 7 years being someone's boyfriend... and then V Day comes around and I'm whining, go figure. Some days are easier than others.
And yeah, who is this Valentine? He probably rolls with Cupid, pffft!

Jesse -- You fuckin' ROCK.
One of the brightest and BEST on IAC.
A woman will come in the picture when it's time. Just keep doing your thang, and DON'T forget to add LIVE performance to the mix.
Listening to your music at our little underground haus party last night for BLOODY VALENTINE's DAY -- Friday the 13th.... People fuckin' DUG it, of course, because you write & record some AMAZING ditties...
Keep it rollin', my brother in music.

Wow thanks Phlegm... you're jamming me at the party eh? That's a HUGE compliment my man... BIG thanks! Glad people are liking it. Grega and I have a new one we've been working really hard on and I hope to have that up in a couple of days... I REALLY like this one, it's my best song so far... I should say OUR, it's totally Fighting the Undertow.
Oddly enough I think the LIVE aspect of my music will be the last to come around, but it will... once I find the right group of guys to take on the road... and in the right place...
And when we role through Phlegmies part of town, I'll bring the buds!
