those v7 v8 pickups are killer! and I love the satin finish and the old school dot fretboard!

Yeah it really seemed to be right up my alley as far as my type of playing and music. Glad you guys approve! You probably know more about that stuff than I do. :)
Frater thats a cool Zakk Myld you got there, custom! Looks cool, never seen anything like that of course. I didn't know Line 6 made an acoustic Variax. Does it play nice? Does it have modeling? Looks like a piezo by the bridge...
Hey let's revive that Gear Gallery idea you had a while back... everyone post pics of your favorite or newest guitar, bass or anything else you'd like to share!

jesse, the Varix is like a space shuttle with a ceder top!
Variax Acoustic 700
it'll re tune to half a dozen tunings, there are individual pickups for each string so you can drop the E and A an octave and comp bass on jazz tunes, or change to DADGAD or drop D.
of course the actual tuning of the string doesn't change, just the sound coming out of the modual, so it's a little weird if your playing quietly because you can hear the acoustic tone of the string and hear a different tone coming out of the amp...
But really this is my favorite guitar I've ever owned..
the Models are gorgeous, It's a dream come true for direct line recording of fantastic acoustic tones and it's a blast to gig with because it's like having 6 acoustics with you that will never have feedback problems!

NNB, you dog! I'm green with envy over that Acoustic 700. I have a Variax 500, the original, and I love the sounds it makes! Really, really wanna coustic.
Jesse, the Ibanez is a great choice.

It's a beauty aint it?
:-)
I actually went to the guitar shop to look at a used Gibson Chet Atkins, and I liked it but I was haggling with them on price and they talked me into trying this 700 (it was the store demo).
I loved it!
and I got it cheap!

Frater your Variax is really cool man. Sounds great and being a fan of direct recording myself I can really appreciate that. It's kinda like that V synth Roland Strat you know the one? You can change the tuning with the turn of a knob? Loved the demo vid on the Line 6 page. I also really like that it has a thin body.
Thank Dan. Best part is I got this bad boy on clearance with a matching hardshell case for 700 bucks! I couldn't say no.
Yeah Duane! Thanks for the pics, I love that thing man. 5 stringer even. Sweet ass bridge and awesome finish. I'm envious.
I was going to take some pics of mine tonight but the flash messes things up so I'll try tomorrow outside on the deck.

K guys, here ya go. Some pics of the new RGA...
As you can see, Malory approves...
Here's a pic of my Radius 442r... it's a Strat like Ibanez that was only produced for 1 year in '92. It's got a thicker one piece maple neck I really dig.
And my bass, for Duane. Not nearly as nice, but still cool I think and plays awesome...
Anyone else?

you know who has a KILLER pile of guitars is Dr. Ben Marble (the guy who famously told Cheney "go fuck yourself")
he's got vintage les pauls and a BB King Lucille and a couple 335s...
it's an amazing collection of axes..
maybe I can track him down and get him to post a picture of some of em....
and Jesse, I love that 442 bolt on neck Ibanez!! Those heavier neck profiles are what I really like!
thats another awesome axe!!!
you have good taste!!!!

you know, when I was touring I had 2 guitars...a strat and a PRS ce bolt on. I got them both from pawn shops
and I played them to death!!!!
I never had any money, , , It took me 12 months to pay for my AMP...(a matchless chieftan that I sold later when I was broke AGAIN)
I found out a trick to not being broke all the time...STOP TOURING WITH A FUCKING ROCK BAND AND GET A JOB!!!!
HA HA HA..ha ha ha he
heh.....sniff......
:-(
Now I've been running my little conservation business for a decade and teaching a bit and...I can buy guitars!
Not really expensive ones...but still pretty cool ones.
Of course, im 45!
I'm old and beat up.
:-)

Lord knows I have very little actual money. That's what credit is for I guess!
Frater the Radius was actually my Dad's guitar. He got is as a present from my Mom for Christmas some years back, and when they split, sometime after he gave it to me. Probably reminded him of her. Score of the century I say! Sometimes I give him shit for giving it away because it's kind of a rare Ibanez, even moreso with this finish because it wasn't offered in the Ibanez catalog.
