The money is mine!!
Hey everybody,
Sorry I have been so absent as of late. I have been struggling along as usual in my day to day existence. But I have just recieved some very good news. Let me start at the beggining...
As of late last year I joined the ranks of the unemployed in the wake of the subprime mortgage crisis. The company I worked for, AHM Mortgage, went belly up. I never particularly wanted to work in the mortgage biz. I did so just for a steady paycheck really. Funny I know. I want a steady paycheck and the company goes under. Anyway, I decide after a few months of unsuccessfully attempting to gain employment that it was time for a career change. I have decided to enter the computer world with a triple IT certification. A+, MCP & CCNA to be precise. Of course this course is $4,000 smackaroos.
So what did I do? I turned to my government. I applied for a state grant to pay my tuition. Well, it's a very long arduous process that requires much patience and persistance, about 4 months worth actually. But it has payed off. As of this past week, the money is mine! I am going in to the Labor Dept again on Thursday to sign off on the final paperwork and then I can begin my training. Woohoo!
It has been exhausting, but I finally feel like I am on my way to a better life. One that includes my own place with a studio in the basement of course. Awwww yeeeeeeah!

Congratulations on the perseverance, and 'break a leg' at the training. An IT certification will always pay off.

That's the spirit "Don't let the bastards grind you down" as they say - lesser mortals would have given up long ago. We'll know where to go for IT help soon :)

Sam nailed it. If you've got the perseverance to get through the application process you've certainly got the perseverance to complete the course successfully. Good luck!
