What would tempt you to pose naked?
Posing naked seems to be a common way of protesting or promoting something and I just wondered who amongst us here would do it, and for what cause.
Amy Winehouse posed naked to raise breast cancer awareness with a guitar covering her privates while two pieces of tape cover her nipples.
I'm not sure if this was a very appealing image or who it would appeal to. If the breast cancer doesn't get her then maybe the drugs and drink will?
I'd do it for World peace or a very large sum of money, how about you

Does this apply to the boys too?
I'd pose naked for a good cause if I thought it would make a difference. But I think I'd raise more money by people paying me not to pose naked! LOL deb

I don't know if it is a common Amanda, yet artists that choose to are obviously comfortable enough with themselves to do so, even at risk of judgment. I see this as more of a statement of exposing one's convictions whatever that may be. For the artists that bare their soul completely, laying it out on the line, that can feel as though they are left raw, and without skin. If one could live to walk through that kind of fire I believe they would be made very strong by it.
I don't know Amy W... I can only imagine what she has had to go through in the public eye... and have to battle her addictions... does that not make you feel any sense of compassion?
As a child of the 60's, and influenced by that culture, I was prompted with a similar visual and added to one of my stations... Rock the Vote
I think one of the issues dividing us these days is that the youth seem to be more driven by money and in many cases have lost the support of a loving home, friends and possibly family. Whereas in the 60's there was a sense of community where love and the spirit of conviction to one's beliefs would drive an individual, perhaps that is why the art of that time lives in our hearts and minds so strongly especially to those that lived it.

Hmm right now I'd say no, no posing nude. Until I get my body into shape and looking like Gwen Stefani's (pre-pregnancy), then I'd say yes. But it would depend on the magazine, the article and would have to be something I believed in. You can do wonders with photoshop now :)

My days of public nudity ended with my wedding vows. That's probably just as well. Especially since such antics invariably drew unwanted attention from other fellers and little attention from the ladies. Go figure.

I'd be tempted to pose naked if all the female artists and listeners on IAC did so, and none of the men did, except me. Then the nude participants would all fly off to our little indie island and have a musical orgy.

hell, I'd pose naked just for fun.
I like Nude Photography and Painting...I think the naked human body is such a fascinating thing to look at because it creates such a variety of emotional reactions!
I love that stuff
Nothing icky though..
I live in an artists community and Painting and Drawing groups will pay you like $50 an hour to pose naked.

already done it. My wife & I did a TOMMY LEE-esque porno, with my music as the soundtrack. Pretty fuckin' sad, eh?
Oh well. Live & Learn. Needless to say the clientelle for the video are all shady/nasty people. So it hasn't had the desired effect.
BUT if I ever do get a little more noticed in the UNDERGROUND / INDIE Music seen...... LOOK the FUCK out! the video might actually circulate a little wider then!
True story.

Here's another station in honour of artists that stand to speak their voice for peace, love, justice and equality... you know, all those good things that some at least use to value in this world. Months ago I thought of it as modern day protest music.. a future for Hip Hop.. not 'rap' and music is therapy.. not TheRAPEy .. can you dig it? Listening is free but don't mean a thing, unless you can hear it. :) Peace.
