first ever One Soul Production "woodstock" level live event featuring exclusively IAC artists - progress report
hey all by the grace of God and iac's fabulous Toby, we have been officially re-instated as allowed to post here once again - thx Toby - and so i've got a few moments this morning to let you folks know that an all iac artists first ever live event is being planned for - so far - summer 2010, and we have been in negotiations with local land owners, private security firms, vendors, dept of commerce folks and a host of other people's interests to see if it's really possible here in Idaho or not, and i've got great news - the possility is now more like my full time project as all previously mentioned interests have been tenatively satisfied with our intent - YEAH!!! so once again i'd like to congratulate all who have received invites to headline the show - mind you they have not all been sent out yet - and in form any and all of the rest of you fabulous iac talents to please post either here or at my comments page your interest in performing at this historic live event. i'm sure you will all understand that if the list gets too large for the time allotment allowed for the entire festival that we will have to lottery all qualifying artists down to the final nimber of performers - however relative to the spin off record sales anyone with a song or two to add to the Bring 'Em Home/Welcome Home show (whatever the case may be in summer 2010) will be included on the final cd collection if fidelity is good enough for pro production and of course we'll try to master up anyone's quality to insure as many entries make it to the cd as possible, none the less, my brother - tommy saddler, will try to get his drunk ass on the post the list of invited in this blog as soon as he sleeps it off, and believe me if you feel after not being included on the headliner invite list that I have forgotten you for some reason please feel free to appeal to me at my artist page for reconcideration as there is no way i'm claiming to know near all of the marvelous talent here at iac. www.onesoulproduction@verizon.net is where to register for inclusion in the progress report loop from now on as we do not wish to keep tying up the pipeline with this promotion or at either tommy saddler artist page or my artist page, but eventually it will get down to only those set up in our live event loop from onesoulproduction e-mail send will be receiving updates - also anyone and everyone with ideas concerns consultative advise and so forth is welcome to chime in live at tommysaddler@yahoo.com instant messenger - indeed all of your opinions are usually helpful and we (I) could sure use a few extra heads thinking with me on this monumental task as it unfolds, God willing, so, please don't be shy - -
gotta run this mornong and ain't had a shower in - well i don't think you wanna know - anyhoo, let's make this happen if we can and show the world that every step of the way IAC artists cared and still do care and probably if i know some of you, always will care about the plight of our servicemen and women tossed into these rediculous roles they were burdoned with and no matter how we feel about the wars they serve and served in are none the less heros for at least answering what they believed was a call to duty from their countries or their heart and souls at the time. . . .
thanks all for your assistance and power possitive vibes as we chase this dream down and try to bring it to fruition!!!
LET IT RING IN THE PACIFIC NORTH MOUNTAINS IN 2010 - L I V E !!!!!!
peace y'all

I had somehow missed this blog until this moment. Thanks for the honor of being on the "short list". I'm intrigued but not sure how to respond, as I'm a studio dood and not a performer per se.
Cheers,
H

While I would love to be a part of this, the liquid nature of family life prevents me from offering to commit to performing. (I don't want to screw it up for any of you.)
When the details are all sorted out, however, I will give it a 10% chance of my being in attendance as an audience member. Hell, it'll be enough just to hang out with you all and see you perform!
Good luck with the show and keep up all informed, please!
(IF I do make it, maybe we can have a late-night jam session somewhere? It'll be impromptu, so that'll remain to be seen.)

Interesting tactic, using the names of invitees who at this point in time have nothing to do with you to publicize your event. I find this exploitative and kind of asinine. If someone skims over your posts, they may actually think you've gotten all these people to agree to come to Idaho for your show which is a pile of complete bs.
I've seen these kind of situations brew on forums, remember one about 5 years ago where all these promises were made and artists did all this planning then it turned out that the person running it had built a pathological house of cards and sucked everyone into their game.
In your case one would question your reliability simply in the way that you were all over the pipeline for several months and then all of your clan en masse disappeared with no notice, only to show up again something like 4 months later.
Caveat Emptor, artist people!

Firstly, Cat and Tommy thanks for the include....I'll do my level best to get out of China and into the USA for this. Looks like enough lead time to plan this.
Hugh, I haven't done the live thing in a long time, so I'm gonna use the time to get my chops up to be ready. Got an invite to be the house hack at a restaurant in Shanghai, so I'm just gonna suck it up and get there. You have more than enough talent to scope a playable set, sometimes ya gotta get out of the studio and just do it. I'm gonna try to twist some arms at Lars Mars to get involved. I'm thinking that this is the kind of event we all really need to do, good for the soul.
To the other folks who are signing on, I'll try not to embarass you all with my modest skills, I really want to see and hear everyone. I think it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm going to make this happen. Hope you all feel the same.

Thanks for the note, Tommy, but I was not looking for an apology. I was just trying to let you know that I wanted to be there, but was not signing up for a headlining spot. And for the reason why I was not signing up.
But I do appreciate the props! And I do hope to make it out there. A mountain vacation sounds wonderful.
Oh, and the kids are great!

YEAAAAAh!!! Made it to the short list. I'm sure that one was ENOX's fault! And thank you to Tommy Saddler as well.
2010?? SEEE - now that's being realistic! It's gonna take awhile to get this thing together.
Kudos to you Tommy, for doing what many of us have alluded to before, but NOBODY had ever tried to pull off.
AN IAC Woodstock is SO going to KICK ASS - In all categories - PEACEfest (like the 60's woodstock), talent, creativity & diversity of musical styles & amazing performances. And of course it'll help INDIE music in general.
ROCK the FUCK on! Thank you for planning this GREAT event, bud.

Yes Banana!
----but!!
We have pencilled SILVERWOODSTUDIO in for crossing the great oceans in 2010 to the USA ----so this would be more like another reason to make it real.
look at the list ---who could resist, a gathering of these talented Indie Musos!!
imagine sitting around the campfire with Larree, trying to get him to hand over the spiff???
Some of our fav IAC buddies are on that list---what an opportunity---not to be sneezed at-----!!
And if it all turns to custard----well with a long lead in period the signals will begin to show ----and who knows there may even be a 'PLAN B' contingency----where it is scaled down ---but the essence still goes ahead!!!
So we are in ---we will bring the greatest (white ) Didgereedoo player in the south,
----the most unusual list of instruments that any band has left the shores of NZ with since Split Enz----and the good ol' number 8 wire mentality for which we are famous----rock on!!
Cheers to Cat Ize---tommy and E nox----and good luck ---!

Tommy and Cat,
It is an honour to be included amongst such a wonderful lineup. I'll be keenly following the progress of this potentially historic musical event. This could be a real winner if you get the support you need.
Purrs to you guys,
Dannii.

Hey all,
wow, what a cool lineup shaping up. I don't have any real good news or bad news - just still haggling away with dept of commerce and folk off the record so far, it seems I may have to concede to a kind of settlement w/ a local huge venue that has had the "sole" right for some years now to do these type of festivals and so I spent the day debating whether or not it was good for fair trade and business and all to let only one big festival venue control all the power/influence if you will and argued that perhaps with two competing ventures the possibility of local absolute power and "monopoly" type leveraging politically might be avoided and underlined how American tradition of competition among business generally keeps prices down including these type ventures - bottom line, turned a few heads but these other guys are deeply dug in to the local political scene - we'll see - - - on the brighter side, a girl with a somewhat convoluted relationship w/ a local billion, yes I said, billion aire is in our corner and though she may require some special attention, rest assured i'm "up" for the job - hee hee - see you cats later - - -
kind regards,
Cat Ize

TOmmy - Please consider submitting a REQUEST for involvement by both PRODUCT RECALL - one of IAC & Romulus X Records most AMAZING hard rockin' bands And === dufraine ONe OF IAC's best bands for indie/rock/garage/euro/alternative..... urrr... sorry .... no need to label 'em, eh?
Why do I alwayz fuckin' do that?
TOmmy - PLEASE put in a request to the following ABSOLUTELY KILLER IAC artists to join in the FRAY:
Dufraine
and PRODUCT RECALL both from the UK
AND - you MUST invite JILL & TONY (DirgeK's mum & dad) as SPEAKERS if they're WILLING.
jUST ask ENOX - he'll see the WISDOM of my requests....
MORE flavor & diversity is better, RIGHT?
We could make IAC a TRUE Virtual MUSIC Scene from all OVER the world - LIKE Hait Street in San Francisco, U.S.A, only without ties to a geographical area...
C'mon man, I'm not askin' fer much.
-much Love & respect for your efforts in this VERY COOL matter of
a 2010 IAC Fest..... WHAtever PRomotion company it ends up being under...
-== L: -} pHLeGm
*******OH yeah - one CRITICAL LAST item - YOUR VISION is great.
IF somehow Perfect Banana's prediction DOES come true & your efforts fall through...... SILVERWOOD said, as indicated in their comment above They've already got your back.
AND SO DO I.....to the best of my abilities. I think your intentions are good and a PLAN B will certainly calm any fears out there.

Hey all,
heading out to do breakfast with mystery girl, got to see if she likes the carrot I dangle in front of her - but seriously need all who secretly or openly plan to be here in 2010 to really quick like figure out a ball park figure not including fees as we're hoping everyone will agree to an equal split of the total net profits should there be any and it does look like it so far - don't forget equipment freight, insurance, etc... just shoot that to me asap because this girl is already got firm control over her adultrous married man's wallet - case in point, she asked him to buy her a horse (from one of her friends) well he ended up buying her a 20 acre ranch and three horses - enough said? . . . . and she digs live music!!!!
Kind regards,
Cat

Thankyou for inviting Tony and I to the festival, it sounds really exciting, like an indie Glastonbury. I could do with another holiday in USA. Will there be places to stay around there or would we need to buy a tent when we got there ?
