More Good News
Having a great year in regards to music. Just signed a new deal with Bentley Records in New York and my song "We Don't Ever Give Up" just won a world songwriting award by the WSA See: https://songwritingawards.wordpress.com/summer-2022-winning-entries-2/
I am so thankful and thrilled. Two CD releases coming by end of the year and a third in the first quarter of next. Lots more work to do on the movie (Starfunk) and just so happens that the song awarded is one of the songs on the movie. Nice start for a musical eh? Anyway, staying busy and hopeful! This could be the year that I get there. Or, maybe next. When it happens doesn't matter as long as it happens. A steadfast and consistent approach is the key.
You know, there is a little Asian lady in my Kung Fu class named Woo. After every class we all give each other words of affirmation. Things like "Good Job" or "Great work today". Her answer is always "I Try", It occurred to me one day that in spite of all of her physical challenges and advanced age. She really does have the sweetest attitude of anyone in class. I was not the only one who noticed this. Now after each class we all say to each other "I try". I did a gig a few weeks ago in San Jose Ca. and the response was over whelming. A promoter came up to me and congratulated me on a job well done and my response to him was "I try". Knowing how to write produce and/or perform is useless unless you get out there and try to make it. I have been trying for a very long time. This year I took first place in the annual martial arts tournament. In my trophy acceptance speech i simply said "I try". They all loved it! Keep trying ok? Look at me. I'm old as shit and am still getting signed and winning shit. It is all well worth the effort. Shit happens and so do good things when you never give up. My personal hero (Sly Stone) once said "You Can Make It If You Try" Genius!

Stoneman you are just really impressive. You just go out there and WORK everyday. I have never seen anyone as dedicated as you which is part of why your successful besides your talent you have a humble attitude. Nothing was given to you my brother you went out every day and pound the pavement. Now you get to reap the rewards. Damn dude your a fucking inspiration.
I love seeing this and love that you finally are getting the recognition you truly deserve.
I'm blow away by your work ethic and constant striving to be the best in class.
