PRESS RELEASE: Juliette Lewis gives a SHOUT OUT to IACmusic TONIGHT on E! Channel's Chelsea Handler @ 11pm!!!
...well, ATLEAST I HOPE SHE DOES...I WOULD!!!...and I WILL!!!
EVERYBODY READ THIS BLOG IN IT'S ENTIRETY!!! IACmusic will become the next MySPACE, FACEBOOK OR TWITTER!!!
___________________________________________________________________________
Let me suggest why I would shout out IACmusic...Let's try an experiment with 100% of the artists on this site ---
THE RAISIN IN THE SUN PROJECT @ IACmusic.com
----------------------------------------------------
I just read that she is on a press tour of the 'Talk Shows' and tonight she is appearing on E! Channel's Chelsea Handler Show...we can only watch and wait if she mentions this site...AND......who knows if she will...but her tour of mainstream television has just begun.
Imagine the hits and new members IACmusic will get after she mentions just ONE of her favorite fan sites on the internet for INDIE music!!! - Independent Artist Company!!! And on her next PR stop, a few more fans would hear a similar shout out and see us here and join...and on and on...
I would like to first thank EVERY SINGLE ARTIST HERE ON IAC. My attorney recommended this site to me 3 months ago and with all my experiences with people giving me their opinion(s) as to what I should do (and we all know what everfbody says about 'opinions'***...lol), I took his advice. A few weeks later, I googled my name, and I saw ALL THESE HITS at a place called "IACmusic.com"...I read that the artists themselves determine the charting positions...are you telling me that other 'artists', the toughest critics in the audience, are listening to me enough to make me #1 with 'Handle Your Business' for 10 weeks? And even crazier, my other record is #2 on the Indie R&B/Soul charts also- unable to rise any higher because my own #1 is not budging...
YOU HAVE WON MY HEART - a little site with heart - A TRUE RAISIN IN THE SUN for me...
In the next few weeks, I will press release how my career has skyrocketed because YOU ALL listened...and kept on...and continue to keep on listening...even though I don't see too many URBAN records in the TOP POSITIONS on this site...YOU ALL MADE THE INDUSTRY realize what Dr. Dre, George Clinton, Massive Attack and P.O.D has told me when I recorded with them - CROSSOVER ABILITY...but I don't like to talk about my resume or records - I'm here just like you all and not mainstream...NOT YET...
I OWE YOU ALL HERE AT INDEPENDENT ARTIST COMPANY!!!
...All of you...
NOW HERE IS HOW WE WIN!!! FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS!!!
NOW HERE IS HOW WE WIN!!! FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS!!!
1.) As of today 10/7/09 Juliette Lewis' IAC HOME PAGE has 3646 views.
2.) EVERY ARTIST HERE TWEET and STATUS UPDATE - MYSPACE, TWITTER and FACEBOOK - your own version of a message like this: "Excited, Independent Artist Juliette Lewis is on Chelsea Handler tonight at 11pm on E! Channel!!" and we will all do this EVERYDAY for 1 WEEK only for wherever she is appearing.
3.) MOST IMPORTANT - Link to her HOME PAGE @ IACmusic!!! Listed Below!!!
http://iacmusic.com/artist.aspx?ID=77815
4.) Don't say anything about yourself or your music in the TWEET or UPDATE...PROMOTE HER AS ONE OF HER FANS because WE ARE
5.) Everybody, if only for this week, add a ONE OF HER RECORDS TO YOUR PAGE (your favorite) and position it #1 on your STATION LIST (EVERY STATION), so that it plays whenever WE HERE at IAC click YOUR OWN STATION regardless of genre of the station - this is for one week only...this is called selling out...and it is a marketing strategy FOR JUST ONE WEEK...Advertisers do it to us everyday when they license a record and change our lyrics to suit the product...but the artist get's paid to do it...
7.) IACmusic ADMINISTRATION - put one of her records in #1 position on the HITLINE, so it plays everytime people stream what this site is all about.
8.) We will watch how many hits we can generate for her page.
BY THE END OF HER TELEVISED PRESS TOUR -
IF WE SUPPORT HER
...and perhaps...just perhaps
SHE MIGHT MENTION IACmusic on NATIONAL TELEVISION perhaps...just once...
BUT IMAGINE, if when she did, it WAS on a prime time show like ELLEN or OPRAH when she decided to do so?
YOU WIN - SHE WINS
Focus our energy - if we all mention this site in any TV/RADIO/INTERNET campaign we are personally doing, just like Juliette is currently doing...Traffic is driven to IACmusic...
AND THEN...all YOU HAVE TO DO...is make music you are proud of and upload it to IAC...
YOU ARE THE RAISIN IN THE SUN...
xoxo
A.T.
***FYI - Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one...
AND IF SHE DOESN’T MENTION IAC…
I PROMISE IAC ARTISTS…
I WILL ON MY PRESS TOUR!!!

Juliette Lewis ROCKS, I didn't know she had any toons here.
I liked her in that RR moovie with Quentin tarantino, George Cloooney, and all the vampires.
I never guessed when I first saw that flick, that she'd end up having such an asskicking Voice!

We'll be watching E! tonight, and other shows on the tour in subsequent days.

Aimee, I tried an idea kind of like this where I could get IACmusic artists to join some contests on a site that will get MAJOR publicity in the very near future to help get some exposure for IAC artists and IAC as well. Let's just say my post got scrapped by IAC. Even though Aimee, I will still mention IAC when the moments do come (and by the way I have already on a VERY MAJOR public media form). Good Luck to You Aimee, I'm watching and LISTENING...

Aimee, you can do like I did. MAKE IAC YOUR HOMEPAGE for your sites. At least, put a link on your dot com page. I have on all my music pages, for when that time comes (soon), people will click on here and see what we have here at IAC...I have "SlimdogProductions.com" & "BlockScholars.com" already saved and when the time comes, IAC links will be on there as well. Good Luck to You!!!

Now that's what I'm talking about Slim...Blogging...I've never fully understood it myself - until this evening...while reading a Blog that showed up on the front page of another social networking website...
Slim, and EVERY OTHER ARTIST on IAC modify, suggest an listen to those who have walked a walk you have yet to even begin to crawl.
Just like Slim suggested, I'm changing every link I have on my social networking sites in the next 24hrs to MY IAC HOMEPAGE below...
http://www.iacmusic.com/artist.aspx?id=131920
DRIVE ALL TRAFFIC TO ONE PLACE!!!
The next decision Slim, is should we all place our OTHER SOCIAL NETWORKING LINKS on the IAC page?
or
Focus on becoming a big fish in a smaller pond AND ONLY LINK INTERNALLY TO IAC AND CASHBOX MAGAZINE (and our other supporters)...?
Here is what made me think of this stategy this evening...I have a long history in this business...My posted "resume" is like thinking you are reading a book, when I only posted the Cliff's Notes...You might understand how I arrived at this destination, but you haven't been told what happened on the journey...
We need to make this website #1 by posting or via private mail so that those of us that haven't travelled the same road - yet...important to remember), don't get a flat tire hitting the the same pothole...or atleast you saw the Sig-Alert...lol
More to come in a minute...thank you and keep it coming...let's perfect this site...I'm going to post in a few something else I just thought of in a few minutes...

Hooookay.
I read the whole post so far, Aimee.
I will do my part, and support your campaign, that will LOGICALLY also support myself, and ALL of us on IAC, at the same time.
And you made an EASY first Internet BLITZ campaign for one of the IAC Artists (Julliete and The Licks), who is about to BUST OUT.
The reason it's EASY, and not about jumping on any silly-assed band wagon.......urrr.... Well, it's 'Cause, you see, I'm already a fuckin' HUGE phanboy of Juliette Lewis and her Licks.
Her shit simply ROCKS, and her voice is sexy/killa Rock & Roll, all the way. And she's a damn fine, and accomplished Actor (Actress?)....She's already one of the TOP playas on my stations!
SO you got another one on board, for the Julliete and The Licks PROMO Tour, of the USA..... Alrighteee???
Oh by the way, like Slimdog, and a few others here, IAC is my PRIMARY music site, with THREE other websites/Pages streaming IACMusic, 24/7....urr.... that is, when people actually give a listen.
See....I'm small potatoes right now, and I am aware of it.
BUT I SWEAR this : If I ever get to ANY level of success, I'm takin' IAC all the way, with me....
What a pipe dream, eh?
Let's DO this! Support Juliette Lewis, and Julliete and The Licks, 'cause their music is AMAZINGLY good, and you'd be helping the BEST website for INDIE tuneage, at the same fuckin' time.
I am so down with you on this one Aimee,
HERE WE GO !!!! Any others joinin' us?
-sincerely,
pHLeGm

pHLeGm,
You nailed it on the head!!! It logically supports everyone who follows the directions...Focused energy drives traffic to IAC!!! The new members that join as a result, will discover all of our IAC ARTISTS on their own once they arrive here!!!
As a result, artist participation in the site will increase as well, more and more, each and every day...
WE ARE ALL SHINING STARS...
I JUST UPLOADED A VERY PERSONAL RECORD THAT IS MY STORY...
'Shining Star' feat. Floetry
Something tells me, it's ALL THE ARTISTS HERE same story...

This is NOT schmoozing, but I just gotta say, you are one SMART Business Person, as far as promotion goes.
I guess that shouldn't suprise me, as you've worked with some folks I adore -- like Dr. Dre, Jazzy Jeff, and especially George Clinton, to name a few!
Anyhoo.... on with THE RAISIN IN THE SUN PROJECT, I've already MOVED Juliette and The Licks badass Tunes up to the TOP 10 (which she's been MANY times) on all of my stations, for starters.
She's currently numero UNO on Phlegm Phavourites, which has (mostly) remained a TOP 40 IAC station.
GO JULLIETE LEWIS -- It's your time to shine !!!!!

A Raisin in the Sun is a play by Lorraine Hansberry that debuted on Broadway in 1959. The title comes from the poem "A Dream Deferred" by Langston Hughes
A DREAM DEFERRED
by Langston Hughes
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?

Yes, and Sadly, when it was FIRST making waves, prior to 1959, and of course LONG before the '65 Civil Rights Act was passed; well it was a VERY significant work. Simply GROUND Breaking, right up there with Ellison's Invisible Man.
BUT I think it works as a title for your Julliete & The Licks / IAC Promotion campaign.
We need SOMEBODY from IAC to break it big.
And with a QUICKNESS.

Aimee, we have added her to our new station. We had to run it by our promo staff since they mostly run the station. They don't usually like to add songs that aren't of the urban style but they had no problems adding Hot Kiss. 1st, it's a great song. 2nd, we along with the promo staff agree that it's just smart business.
To Juliette, if you are reading this, we absolutely love your song and we honestly wish you the best on your PR tour. Much Luv and Mad Respect goes out to you and your band. You all are an inspiration!!!

Ash -
Thank you for the kind words, but like Bryon and pHLeGm, when you see how this "rIACin in the Sun" Project works, you will understand more and more...this isn't all about anyone other than Julette right now - just for a week then we evaluate results and discuss...but if you get what we are saying (and I know you do) by NOT FOCUSING ENERGY on:
who's next or
promoting of ourselves
What results is PROMOTION OF IACmusic
which DIRECTLY in promoting every artist at this site BY DRIVING TRAFFIC because for this week, she seems to be:
the MOST VISIBLE artist ON THE PRESS CIRCUIT
that is ALSO ALSO ALSO (very important) ON IACmusic.com
To be honest, my advice for the next candidate might SLIMDOG PRODUCTIONS because he is on NPR Radio and he did a shout to ALL OF US...get me? I know you do!!!
THIS IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST...
IT IS A VISABILITY REALITY!!!
Let's spread the word!!!

WOW Aimee!!
Ewe see the potential here---this is the most sensible piece I have SEEN on the pipeline EVER!
I'm adding Juliettes and your song-- from the Indie Song Competiton to many of our niche stations---Ha!! my son--- Leo Haszard was competing with you, but just dropped out this round!
As you say --it is all about blogs, key words, meta tabs, and google searches
If many follow your lead we may drag this site up to where it belongs
-- but the management must be prepared---and the pipeline host needs to learn how to SERVE the clients---- not bait them!

I put one of their songs at the top of my station even though my station doesn't play Rock (NOTE: I DO LOVE ROCK though...). I printed this notation after the song:
"What THE HELL is a Rock song doin' on a station for Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz & Blues? The artists at IAC & IAC are doing a homegrown promo for one of IAC's own, "Juliette & The Licks". You see, they are doing a press tour of their band and we here at IAC are showing our support of their work by promoting her on all our stations, charts and whatnot for a week in the hopes that Juliette & The Licks will see the support here and maybe mention IAC while on their tour. If not, maybe you listeners can see the type of family we have here at IAC. There is no music site like it here on Earth. I am glad to be part of this family. Like Spock & Kirk said,"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or one."

I'm confused.
Are y'all saying the songs on IAC, are NOT owned by Juliette Lewis, therefore as she tours, she'll only be doing NEW material, promoted by some Corporate Powerhouse label/promoter, that will have absolutely NO association with IAC? And therefore we've been spinning our wheels?
Please, anybody with the REAL truth on this, do tell.
i'm not a big fan of spinning my wheels, with passion and effort, for a lost cause.
I mean, if she cares NOTHING about these OLDER tunes on IAC, and her original association with us, then I'll GLADLY take her tunes out of all my stations' TOP 10 with a QUICKNESS. I'm not about supporting Major artists who've forgotten us. I'll still have 'em on the stations, as I always have, 'cause her Music on IAC fuckin' really does ROCK; I just won't have them hogging up the TOP 5 or TOP 10 slots.
BOTTOMLINE: Is Juliette Lewis' MUSIC on IAC, at least PART of that which is being promoted for her WORLD Tour? Are we wasting our time with a dead act? Is the mainstream label who signed her going to completely SNUB IAC?
-really need to know, is THIS MUSIC part of what SHE is promoting:

BLuto: Look, I know she's an amazing front woman.
THat's why I've been a fan of her music on IAC, since I got here.
I'm no STALKER, I was just enjoying the smart business idea of Aimee Terrin, to promote THOSE IAC artists, that are close to "making it" really big.
Because it would help all of IAC.
I posted on the SNEEK PEAK page, 'cause I'm hoping she has some info. on whether this WHOLE campaign idea, that a few of us have really been pushing, is a bust.
C'mon Bluto, even your sarcastic ass has to admit that's not STALKING, that's smart promotion sense.
No point in wasting massive amounts of time going GA-GA over an act that's already dead. Especially if that IAC act, will have NO connection with here.
I'm about promoting MY music, and OTHERS on IAC. Not promoting major label stars. You see, they don't NEED any help with promotion. They are already huge.
SO THAT's why I've left a message on Sneek Peak's page and THIS blog.
I wanna know what's really up. And whoever is doing Sneek Peak, apparently knows information that could help us better direct our passions and energies, here on IAC.
And I can swear to you, even with all the ups and downs, kudos and criticisms I get on IAC, I WILL BE supporting this site, if it's still alive, AFTER I make a little broader impact out there in Music Land. Which may never happen. I'm not a completely delusional fool.
Here's hoping Juliette Lewis, and any other IAC Artists that go bigtime, eventually bring IAC to light. 'Cause we need it. There's some simply AMAZING music on here.

Oh that silly cat....
Brian, you are a wonderfully talented musician, whose work I dig. But more than that, you're another POWERHOUSE of intelligent music reviews, support, and a HUGE-ASS promoter for IAC. THANKS for all your kind words, and all you do for both my music, and IAC!
I've gotta get focus back on the LOCAL scene, for tonight's little Haus party gig, where we'll be playin' a bunch of our unrecorded NEWEST material, and a few choice covers, in prep for our debut with the new band members at a local club NEXT Saturday, so I'll be in and out.
Please, if anybody out there is an internet geek, with a little time on their hands, research for us if there is ANY connection worthy of mention with the NEW Juliette Lewis project, and this wonderful older one on IAC.
I jumped the gun on this Raisin in The Sun Campaign of Aimee's, because I BELIEVE in IAC, it's my internet musical HOME. Every site I have points back HERE, where it all started movin' finally for me.
LOVE you IAC; here's hopin' we didn't completely waste our time on the OLD Juliette Lewis music, here on IAC, thus far.
Any research takers out there, with a little time on there hands?

Okay, I haven't between the studio and what I'm about to direct you all to, I haven't had much time to Blog here at IAC since we introduced the "rIACin in the Sun Project", but I realized I am a far better singer songwriter producer, than a web designer...but thanks to Pimp-My-Profile, I'm getting there.
I never direct anyone to my myspace page, but for just this once, I'm going to...for a reason...(you'll see why - check out the background and banners)
www.myspace.com/aimeeterrin
I made a background, made some banners (albeit they aren't appearing quite right yet...gimme another few hours) and now I want to add my IAC Friends to my top friends...
Do we have an IAC Myspace page?
I'm off to fix my Juliette Lewis Banner.
Post me some codes here that I can cut and paste into my profile to link up IAC!!!
Let's keep the momentum up for our campaign(s)
Thanks to everyone, including Bryon, pHLeGm and Ash...and that's not even the tip of the iceberg...everyone who is growing this site!!!
xoxo

WOW. Thanks Ash, for revealing THAT one!
I didn't even know they had a MYSPACE.
I'm fuckin' trying to get the powers that be, to add Conversation Suicide as a FRIEND on Myspace, right now.
Thanks for the heads up.
Aimee :
How do we change our strategy, now that we all realize Julliete and The Licks is a DEAD project (here on IAC) ??
Just a REAL question, from a very REAL artist, who wants to help IAC, help the great music on here, help GREAT Mainstream Artists Like Juliette Lewis, and help MYSELF, get the MUSIC out there.....

Okay I agree....
Now we know thanks to Ash that WE HAVE A MYSPACE PAGE, who is the administrator? Do we know? Whatabout a facebook page and a twitter page?
If we do not have a IAC Titter Page, we need to start one to drive Traffic this way...I wish I had time to administer a page...Let's see if IAC admin will start a page that we all can subscribe too...
Let's startt talking about the next move on the agenda to grow BIGGER here @ IAC.
Gonna post this again under a new rIACin The Sun blog.
xoxo
