American Lesley Jane, BEATLESEX, Father Time, Larree, Negative Tendencies,

Larree's right, it's pretty subjective....
Also, Led Zep isn't even the same era....
Of the early 60s,
well it's one thing, and then by mid it's another,
Stones make it onto both, Beatles both,
Who only got started by mid-sixties sort of...
Early 60s had Dave Clark Five and Gerry and the Pacemakers
as the major hitters. As well as The BEATLES & The Rolling Stones.
And then over here we had Dylan, Roy Orbison, Del Shannon, Lesley Gore....
you can just go on and on with this game.

well for me in the way of the big amazing four I have to say it is people like
Herbie Hancock, Rachel Z, Chick Corea and Oscar Peterson
many more of course but those are some serious influences. I love Ray Manzarek as well
Way up there as a phenom is Frank Zappa

As a keyboard guy, I would think Bryon you'd also
mention Keith Emerson. Perhaps also Rick Wakeman.
Both virtuoso totally sick keyboard dudes.
and by totally sick, I mean whippin' crazy monkey fingers on the thing.
Frank Zappa is an Entire Continent To Himself.
I also like the album 'Deja Vu',
by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
(with two other guys, who sadly did not get top billing)
