If you had to pick 3 bands or acts to be the only music you could listen to, who would they be?
well my first 2 would be the fab four and Neil Young. The third to be totally honest would be me and my various bands.

For me it was hard to leave out the Sex Pistols, Bollocks is the record I play more than any other.

Too fucking hard.
At this very moment, this very second, I would go with:
• Tom Zé
• Brian Eno
• The Beatles
Ask me in 5 minutes and I'll think of someone else/change my mind.

Favorite?
Rise and Fall... I think I bought it 7 or 8 times in my life. Young Americans a few times as well.

Great question Scott; I like stuff like this! Wow, that is tough to answer and for me it would probably vary year to year. Right now at this moment, they would be:
1. The Moody Blues (they would always be there).
2. Steps, from the United Kingdom, a really fun song and dance troupe.
3. Whitherward, the incredible indie folk duo that originated in Nashville, the music capital of America, and my primary featured artists in my IMP station.
These three have a large enough discography and variety to keep me satisfied.
I would like to know Itso's answer. Would he say The Beatles, ABBA, and the Orishas, his 3 fave bands? What are Evie's selections?

Hi Evie! This is a tough one! I was hoping to see your 3! Good choices! If I was going strictly by my Top 10 lists and picked the Top 3 from each, it would be:
Pre-1990
1. The Moody Blues
2. The Beatles
3. ABBA
Post-1989
1. Steps
2. The Coors
3. Norah Jones
It would REALLY be tough to choose between these 2 lists, but if I HAD to choose right now, it would probably be the 2nd list.
By the way, WHITHERWARD will be in Omaha ONE WEEK from today; can't wait! I'll have a full report both here and my Facebook timeline!

Great picks Richard! I've seen the Stones in concert in 1972 in K.C, McCartney in 1990 in NC, and Dylan decades ago here in Omaha. Don't recall when Bob was, but maybe in the 90's? I passed on seeing McCartney again just 2 months ago, this time in Omaha, and will probably pass on Dylan again next month in my city as well.
I just can't afford to see everyone that comes here. Norah Jones was my big 2017 concert in June and Whitherward comes here NEXT WEEK, plays 3 gigs, and I will be at every one and also take them out to dinner!!! You might recall that they are one of the featured artists along with you, Bryon, David, DeMonicka, and the MLT in my station. If you ever tour and come here, I will definitely be there! My big 2018 concert will most likely be Shania Twain next May!

Alright, I have an answer.
I just have to look at it like the island I am usually on anyway. I tend to zero in on about three artists obsessively for long periods due to what I'm going through with my own thoughts on my own music. Out on an island, I'm sure I'd be even more zeroed in on that sort of thing.
So if I left today:
Wu Tang Clan
Sinatra or Billy Holiday: just someone that would deliver the standards well
The Pawns- which is us, but really just the twenty things we are working on now. Don't need the o hear the older stuff.
If I can bring my woman and music gear, then I'm itching to go now.
