2019 Golden Kayak Nominations and your ballot to vote!
ok.. most of you have seen the station with the nominees, I did add the best band, best male and female, and best station manager today.
The community did their best ever job with the nominations this year. Musicology dept basically added next to nothing, and everyone who was nominated is on the ballot as long as their song was put on the site in that year boundary we specified (this doesn't apply to Indie Song of the Year as the date for those was based on when they charted on Kayak). We did have issues with a few people nominating numerous old songs which was kind of a hassle but we worked thru it.
We encourage you to bring on your friends and fans to vote. We are taking extra security measures this year to prevent posses who show up to just vote for all their friends' songs. If they don't appear as an actual listener to multiple songs on IMP the system will toss their votes out. So if you tell your friends to vote, invite them to partake in the site as well! :)
Here's the ballot. Listen and vote for the best choice, just don't click your buddies, please.

I was taken by surprise at being nominated in the Classic and Progressive Rock category, and particularly in the Station Manager of the Year category, but do extend my thanks at being among the company of nominees in both.

Hi All,
Thanks for allowing my songs Road Dust and Three Wishes to be considered for a Golden Kayak. When I joined in 2009, I was not able to record at the level I needed. All these years later, I figured it out a little but still have a long way to go to make a perfect recording. I enjoy listening to all the GREAT music here on IMP. I wish everyone the best!

Well I think there must be a mistake because I didn't see my name in that list and I have a page full of great indie recordings. I hope you don't ignore me because of my husband's reputation, he may be the loser in the family but I am the winner, always.
What more does your bloody first lady have to do around here ('scuse language)
I guess I'm pleased for the people getting the nominations, that's how I was brought up back in Slovenia :)

Uh... anyone else have this problem? I clicked on the link to look at the ballet, thinking I’d come back later, listen to a few songs at a time, then come back and vote. But now when I click on the link, I get a message saying I’ve already voted.
Any way to reset this so I can participate?

John, when you go there below where it says you've already voted there is a link that says restart survey, click on that.
