Moving at 60….
So, the wife and I are buying a new home. Been in the process for 2 months now. We close in 8 days. Studios been tore down for a month now and everything is at Dennys house. So that explains our lack of activity the last 2 months. It’s been hard on me moving a lifetime of accumulated items. Woodworking equipment, toys in the shed. The golf cart. Got that done. Now the house stuff. Ugh. My old body is holding up. So far.
The new home is beautiful. Great space on the red cedar river. Best part. Me and the wife won’t owe a dime. Finally debt free. I’m looking so forward to building the new studio. Going to take my time and lay it out right! It’ll be the last thing to get done.
Anyhoo…. That’s why we been radio silent.

"Moving at 60" is as hard as hell for me as well, Bruce. I couldn't do half of what you've been doing and I'm 64. "Moving", the activity of "motion", is hard enough for me. I am "out of debt" though(Thank God! ). Hope the "rest" of your life is both fulfilling and enjoyable and that you will have a good time with it. -M-

I really hate moving. Our last move was 4 years ago, I was 61. Things got even worse when the first house we moved into was some insurance scam by the realtor, we could only stay a month and we took a huge loss financially. Then we were in limbo and that really sucked. but we finally ended up in the nicest apartment we ever lived in, though it is so expensive lately it's been difficult paying the rent.
Congratulations cause it sounds like you got over the hump.

Thanks for all the well wishes folks. One week to go. Sorry to hear you plight Scott. Too many scammers out there!!!! Getting my morning coffee going start carrying stuff to the garage to stage for the u haul. Took a couple days off just to load.then a week to unload and organize. Forecast is rain here. Oh goodie!
