A friend of mine (Stuart) from the band The Sons in S.E. London, UK are on the lookout for a drummer. These guys have a lot of stuff happening, including a couple of pieces in Mojo. My mate is real passionate about this thing, so please help if you know a really good drummer looking for a great opportunity.

On his Vox Blog he writes..

do us a favour send him this way.its very frustrating but the lack of a good drummer (like THE mr gilchrist ) joining the sons for some work is preventing some great gigs...that offer also extends to management and some pr required by the sons, hope thats a very warm invitation for good times...weve got a good platform now...the download of after afternoons from the 2 pieces in mojo magazine is well into the thousands btw.

appreciate it if you can pass this one on somewhere...

TA!

You can contact him through his MySpace

Don't know any British drummers (Ringo doesn't return my calls) but wanted to say hi, Gary...

Cheers,
H

It's going great - got sidetracked from serious writing by too much blog time lately but feeling happily creative and enjoying the heck out my new acoustic resonator guitar. Santa picked it up at a going out of business sale for a nice low price and I couldn't be happier with it. Love when that happens. The Muse is leading me on through the D open tuning these days, sometimes with slide but also loving mixing it up with some strumming and finger picking. Much fun and cool sounds - hope to get tracking before too long.

Howzabout you?

Cheers,
H

Hugh,
I'm really into "G" tuning. It sounds especially good with a capo.
Have you tried it yet? It's awsome.

Gary: call your local musician's union to find a good drummer.
