*** I'm not leaving IAC today *** ......
...... or any time in the foreseeable future. I see there's a new virus doing the rounds that is affecting the minds of some of our favourite IACers so I HIGHLY recommend everyone gets their 'anti leaving virus' inoculations!
On another note (pun half-assedly intended!), I have been a busy pussycat and have uploaded a couple of new tunes to my page. They are at the top of my playlist and are 'Out Here' and 'Omega'.
'Omega' was written for a short underwater film as the ending piece and 'Out Here' is the very first piece of music recorded with a brand new, as of yet unnamed band I am part of. This piece features AiDiem Le on vocals, Carlos Ramsey on bass and me on keyboards. In the band, I am taking on my solo band name 'SuperPuss' as my stage name.
Also, I have added a new track to my record label page and it is a classic Aussie rock track by an Aussie icon, Ross Wilson. Many of you who are familiar with Aussie rock will know Ross's first mega group, Daddy Cool and will know the song Eagle Rock well. You can find a preview of my live recording of Ross performing Eagle Rock on my SuperPuss Music & Image label page at the top of the playlist. This track will most likely be included on my new upcoming record label release, 'Live @ the Cafe'.
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that the leaving virus should be treated seriously..... get your inoculations today!!!!!

I also intend not to leave. I also intend to not be involved with any B.S. that would cause me to want to leave. We have a brilliant thing going on because of everyone involved and it should not change by having some of the most active leaving. A break absolutely. I do at times. But we need all the talented artists and minds to stay and be active. This is the only way for all of us to gain wisdom and strength needed to create a change

Good to see you're hanging around, Ti. You're absolutely correct- the "Leave Virus" is a nefarious little bugaboo. I've even seen it surfacing on 'other sites'. However, it seems to be mainly a seasonal affliction, and I expect it's effects to be greatly reduced, come December.
Incidentally, I'm liking the new material. Your vocalist has a great quality to her voice that suits your music perfectly. Keep it up!

I wondered what had happened to you SP - Anything on the horizon re our collab?

Hiya Red. Great to see you here again too :-)
Carlos, the bass player / sitar man in the new lineup is coming to stay for a couple of days tomorrow and I'm going to play your flute to him. I'm not sure if he's bringing his sitar but I think that combined with your flute and some analog synths and a bit of percussion could be really cool.
I'll keep you posted :-)

Cheers Hugo. It feels great to be creating stuff with the new lineup. There should be plenty of new material popping up on my page as a result.
I have some ideas for a couple of my current tunes too. I'd love to have your musical input on a couple and I have some ideas for Dick Aven if he's keen to add some cool sax too :-D
God, I LOVE this place!!!

Wow! IAC is rockin' tonight!! I can't keep up with the posts!!!
Thanks heaps for your feedback Lace. Yimmie (as we affectionately nickname AiDiem) will be delighted to hear your compliments. She has a real talent for lyrics, melody and arrangement and has an amazing range. She's one of the few vocalists I have heard who can sing Kate Bush songs without straining!! She's a real gem.

How would you feel about doing some vocal parts on one of my tunes Hugo? I have a song I blogged about a few months ago that has parts for male and female vocals. It is called Circus Freak.
Here's a short preview of the middle part with the guitar solo....
There may be room in parts for Dick to add some sax too.

Hello you. Long time, eh?
How's you doing in the land of wondrous things but lots of insects?
I don't really do these forum type things now. Got a bit bored with it all and with me too.
So hello.

I never left IAC, but I simply didn't upload anything new for quite some time. I didn't make a big public announcement about it either when I chose to stop posting. So all the "I'm leaving people" I think they are just whiners wanting attention...
The site is free promotion, why not stay? What do you have to lose from it? It's no different than myspace or all the other umpteen indie sites that are now out there. IAC was the first I signed up with, so I'm biased. I'm not leaving either...can't get rid of me that easily.

Red,
Carlos is here at the moment but has come down with a nasty bug which has put a bit of a damper on creativity...poor guy! Hopefully he picks up before he leaves and we get a chance to get creative. Either way, we will get into it once he recovers.
Peter,
Things are pretty good in the land down under! Great to see you blogging about a topic I am passionate about too (your Metallica loudness topic).
Wendy,
Great to see another indie sticking around :-)
Now all we have to do is convince Sam Cat (Man with no Band) to stick around, if he can physically maintain an internet connection from time to time on his travels.
