Its raining its pouring and I'm going to the music emporium.
Being in construction can suck on days like this. I usually get bored and go to a music store.
However, today is different, I am bringing a wad of cash and looking at Taylor guitars.
OH OH. I hope honey doesn't read this. I know if I play one I will have to bring it home.
Larree loves his Taylor, any other Taylor owners in here?
This is a big step for me, I never dropped more then half a grand on a guitar, now Im looking at dropping almost 2 grand on one. Oh oh. Honey is that you? Peace now. John

I'm having two Carvins hand made. One electric and the other acoustic. The acoustic is a flat body electric kinda like what Craig Chaquico plays. I'll be putting out around $3,500 for both. (work bonus) Should be ready around the first of 2008.

Hey Ewe!! Get offa my cl-....no, no, no...what I meant to say was DID YOU BUY SOMETHING? Come on, give us the glossy axeporn centerfold pics online (pant, drool, etc.)...
I stopped in at a local guitar mondo-store last spring to BEGIN the process of getting a new acoustic...wound up playing just about every acoustic in the joint, spent about 5 hours, destroyed my fingers...left with a Martin that cost about 3 times what I had expected to pay...and it still ain't my "perfect" axe, but it's got "the sound"...hope you score(d) one that suits ya!

I recently picked up my dream guitar, a Gibson SJ-200. Had to dig in trash bins for an awful lot of cans and bottles to save up for that baby, but she's worth it. Some things in life are an absolute necessity, guitars are definitely one of them.

--------like Hugh I'm keen to know what happened----------and are we talking with pickups?
I have a lovely old accoustic, ( but never had any success with add on pickups. I've tried many over the years(from el cheapo to ceramic dots) but I do wish it had them originally---------

Ok. I bought a Taylor 414ce today. Its freakin awesome. I got rosewood back, kinda a custom thing. The ce stands for cutaway electric. It has a cool pickup with a pre amp and stuff but I know, I know you have to mike it. I will use the pickup for playing with others and maybe track it for brights or effects when I record. I haven't played it much yet but plan on recording a little tomorrow. The new acoustic pickups are far superior to old ones but Ill let you decide. Mr Gary Stockton big congrats on your cool who toon getting acknowledged by Pete himself. I would have shit myself.
