Upcoming Gig - Friday 5/28 at Princeton, NJ
Free, open to the public:

THE BATTLE OF THE ALUMNI BANDS
Fri., 5/28/10, 12pm-4pm (my set at 1pm)
South lawn of the Frist Campus Center, Princeton University

On the occasion of my 25th college reunion I'll be doing a solo set of about 25 mins. then will be joined by DAVE McSHEA to resurrect a few tunes from his popular campus band THREE GUYS NAMED BURT. We'll be rockin' with the house band as well as event host and sponsor BILL WEBSTER on trombone. If it's a nice day and you can find a place to park it'll be plenty-o-fun (be prepared for a long walk and allow time). Link to a campus map at www.princeton.edu

I'm planning on covering Messrs. Ison (I Know a Good Thing) and Aven (Almost Every Day) as well as offering up some of my own tunes on uke and acoustic guitar before switching over to electric guitar when the band joins me.

cool Hugh, are you gonna be recording it all somehow, I did my up Niece's band at the Vancouver jazz fest with my Zoom H2, you wouldn't beleive how good it came off, the guy who did the mixing there at the festival was fantastic and everything came off top drawer, what a great sound through this little machine,. it blows my mind how good these little units are

anyways
have fun!

Thanks, Gents. At the very least we'll have a camcorder on a tripod, and of course I'm hoping the soundman will be able to record the set somehow. I've been playing and singing every day (except yesterday, blew my vox out the day before, fine this a.m.) for the first time in a while, feels real good...

Rock on, thanks for saying hi!
